Earlier today my mom told me that a pitbull attached somebody. I was like I bet you anything if it wasn't a pitbull that did it, it wouldn't have made the news. I said that any dog can attack a person. It depend on how the dog is treated and trained. Then she started believing that pitbulls were horrible. I told her that just because they are used for fighting, people are going to assume that all pits are dangerous. It just pissed me off. She told me to be careful around my friends dog. He is part pitbull, but he is the sweetest dog ever. All he like to do is cuddle. Any dog can turn on you and attack so people need to stop thinking that all pits can do. I am so sick of it

I'm with you. I can't stand people who see Pit bulls as vicious animals. Yes, if one attacks it is more deadly then other breeds just because their jaws are so strong...but a pit bull that grew up in a non fighting home is not more likely to attack JUST BECAUSE it's a pit bull!
I love pit bulls, I have worked with a lot of pit bulls--and they were very sweet!

Yea I don't get it. It is kind of like being rascists toward dogs. I mean they don't treat people differently because they are different colors or having different mixes in them. I know that sounds so bad, but it is so true. Dogs can't fight for themselves, but people havta do it for them. Honestly, I find it messed up.

There's actually racism and prejudice against dogs. Do you know that stats show people don't want black dogs, because they look 'meaner.' That's why shelters are full of black dogs (and pit bulls). But guess what...2 of our 3 dogs are black and they are both AWESOME dogs. One (Maggie) is a rottweiler/pit bull/shepherd mix! While she doesn't like strangers (we think she was neglected before we adopted her) she is the BEST family dog.
Check out my picture, there's Maggie, Sam and Goldie-Maggie has the red collar, Sam has the blue. Sam is a great dane/lab mix...and you know the other two :)

They are really cute. Unfortunately I don't have none. I live with my mother and she is allergic to animals. I hope to get one when I get my own place.

Heya candy!
I know a far more dangerous dog's than pit's who are forbidenn in most of the Europe like pits. The pit's rlly has one minus but that minus got nothink to do with the ataking people stuff. The minus is that they are hybrid,i mean created from man by messing to diferent race's of dogs, and cuz that in pitbulls are missing mother instinct they kill they're kids if u let them to be around the mother after 30 days, when they tooths are growing-but this is other theme of dialog.
About that-that they are dangerous to people-this is not true cuz they are pet's and they do like his master teach them to do.If u train them to fight ofc they can jump on people too,but in most cases trained pit's atak only other animals not people, thats mean if pitbull atak man he doit cuz he was teached to do it.
U can't blame Mikey Tyson for hiting people,he was trained to do it,the people are making mistake to provoke him, should we forbid Mikey to walk around.
In most cases when dog bite a human, the human do somethink wrong to that happen. And like u say the dog need to be threated or trained to do such think.
This is far more dangerous than pit's to human-The Rothweiler cuz he can grow up to 80kg.
Scary uh and we know if animal sense fear in someone what it's about to happen.
The Pitbull are not bad,People are bad.
Peace out!!

I agree with you. I didn't even know that there was a dog like that. Never even heard of it

I have to agree with you, I think it is wrong that they disparage a whole breed because of the actions of a few irresponsible owners. It is not the dog but how the dog is raised, if you beat the dog and teach it to attack, then of course it is going to be vicious. Pitbulls are a banned breed where I live but I have a bulldog and a wolfhound. They are supposed to be vicious and I guess they are to strangers but to anyone who knows them they are just friendly. It all depends on how you raise your dog. I personally think the small dogs are more vicious it is just they are too small to do any real damage.

yes this is tru. I always think they are going to go after my ankle haha. I live in Massachusetts and they cannot be sold here, but they can live here. You can easily cross over to Rhode Island and buy one though. My boyfriend has a pitbull and she is the greatest. I think he has a bulldog too.
