This month is Bali cremation ceremony season. Actually, the good day for Bali cremation ceremony is between June – August 2010. In Balinese this ceremony is called Ngaben. Of course, like any ceremony in Bali, the cremation ceremony’s size and spectacle depends on the importance of the deceased, and the money spend. While the poorest of the Balinese are buried, and finally cremated in group cremations, the people with some more money to spend are cremated right away. One thing is for sure, the body needs to be burned to set the soul free from worldly ties, and to start a new life in a world that is supposed to be as beautiful as Bali itself. Do you have traditional culture which been held this month?

You are right Hat, Bali ceremonial cremation is traditional culture in Bali. It become one of tourism object in Bali. There are many travel agency that offer Ngaben as the tour destination. It's so beautiful event however, not all Bali cremation ceremony could be interesting tourism object. There are many level in cremation ceremony. Usually, the highest level of ceremony would be the beautiful event. In high level cremation ceremony, people make beautiful place for the body. The place of body and procession of the ceremony become interesting view for foreign tourist.
