I have three mobile phones which each has its own purpose for my business and social life. But recently i realized that i'm totally depending with my mobile phones since i seem can't remember even my best friend's mobile phone number. Since i have lot of contact numbers on my phonebook, i never really care to remember some of those numbers because i think i can easily open my mobile phone's phonebook to find a number. But recently i lost one of my number and that made me lost lot of contacts as well. So i think it would be wise if i also make a backup phonebook. The problem came when my mobile phone running out of power and i need to make a call in urgent to someone in my phonebook. Since i never remember the number, nothing can help me to make that call. Have you ever experiencing such similar situation? Do you think if people nowadays are depending to their mobile phone so much? Happy mylotting.

I can easily remember all my cellphones this isn't one of my problems. I really think that people are depending to their mobile so much but I also thinks that this days this is the only way.

you see... this is the same kind of scenario happens in most of the people who have more than one mobile... now consider me... i have 2 mobiles... and making one for my personal stuff and other for business and official stuff... case 1: there is no such scenario that both the batteries could down at the same time... so you can use the same battery for other mobile... if the batteries are different, dont worry. there is a charger available which charges one mobile to other mobile.. like usb connector... please visit http://ritchiestreets.in you buy that one. suppose both the batteries are down :--- case 2: group the people.. take personal mobile... group your family members. group your friends... group your relations... group your cousins. etc., etc., by the way you can remember one number from each group and you can reach others easily.. in case of theft or any emergency, you can alert one.. and the message reach to your groups. (if you have one gal @ one group then the message will reach promptly and fastly..... lol...) case 3: try to manage with the single mobile which holds larger contact book memory : search such mobiles from http://ritchiestreets.in

Many times I can honestly say I would be lost without my Cell phone and all the numbers in there as well, and really could never remember most of them in there as well if I had too. It makes it so easy to just pick up the phone, go thru my Address book in there and dial someone. But there was a time when I switched phones that luckily the Cell phone company was able to retrieve a lot of them off my phone as well.

This is a really good question. I personally remember my parents' numbers, and numbers of friends, who call honor. Most nemora not remember them, so they look in the phone book. I do not think I need to know all the numbers of people I know. And it would be difficult to remember so many combinations of numbers. After all, this made a telephone directory to be used. Since i have lot of contact numbers on my phonebook, i never really care to remember some of those numbers because i think i can easily open my mobile phone's phonebook to find a number. But recently i lost one of my number and that made me lost lot of contacts as well. This is my issue for this discussion .

Usually i used to take my phone with me and i don't used to byheart or remember any ones number because i can get the numbers from my phone eaisly. Once i weant out to market for getting out my shopping and i forgot to put my phone with me. My sister had asked to buy a broom for her and i had forget about the thing which i need to buy for her. I don't have a cell phone or her number to call her. So i couldn't buy the things for her. I need to spent another day for the sake of shopping, which is mearly a waste of time.

I try to memorize phone numbers by repeating them over and over in my head. I do use my cell phone contact list occasionally to make sure I have the right numbers when someone asks for them. My mom has an address book that we update with new numbers and addresses that I also check.

I am very much dependent on my phonebook, which is really bad. Just yesterday, my phone suddenly let me down and I had no means to call anybody. that was not good. so anyway, I promised myself I'll keep a backup list of important numbers for emergency purposes.

Hi dian, I'm one of the very dependent on the phonebook. I prefer to see the phonebook than to remember someone's phone number, in fact sometimes I forget my wife's mobile phone number or my home phone number, sometimes even forgot my own number, so when someone asked my phone number I had to ask his/her phone number then I make a miscall just to give him/her my phone number.

Hey! Long ago I've managed to remember some phone numbers, but after time I was collecting more and more phone number and I saved them on my phone. I remember 3-4 phones, but I really can't remember my new phone number. Don't laugh at me. It is not funny. I knew my old phone number, but once the company limited it because my "plan" was expiring or something like that. I was like "yea, yea I will buy a new one", but I forgot. After like one week the sim card stopped receiving calls and messages too. I went to the store and I wanted to continue my plan, but they told me, that I can't, that I was too late. I really tried to ask them to keep it somehow, because noone have told me, that it will expire and I will lose my number, but no result. I still remember my old phone number, but I really can't remember my new one and when somebody asks me for it I'm like "wait ten seconds to check it out on my phone"...

I am not good at remembering the numbers. I can only remember the phone numbers come from my home, my husband, my parents and a few friends only. The rest phone numbers are in the phonebook and therefore I don't want to remember them. I love China

Even before cell phones came out, I could barely remember phone numbers. It was always a hastle. I never tried to remember more then the numbers I needed to know most, such as that of my sister and my own. Now that I have a cell phone now, like the rest of the world, I don't remember ever single number. I only remember maybe two or three even though those two or three numbers are still in the phone book. They are my own cell phone number, my partner's cell, and the number to the place in which I used to work (and my partner still does). It is important to know the numbers you use most often due to an event you don't have a cell phone, or end up in trouble.
