We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.- Frederick Keonig
Interesting how many of us feel that we shall be happy when we get to this place or that situation in life.
Koenig suggests we simply learn to feel to be happy wht we already have. Well it's bad new for all the sales team trying to sell people stuff. It seems if we can learn to really awaken, we shall begin to enjoy the happiness that is already in us waiting to be felt...

Sometimes losing some things that we value highly brings us greater appreciation and a deeper thankfulness for simpler "things" ... change is inevitable ;) since we are changing ourselves diba?

I have about 1,000 mosquito bites from the other night so I must have seemed worth temporary attachment anyways ... good points, i suppose we can apply cyclical thinking to most attachments?

Happiness comes from the little things alot of time. And giving something away like our time or something of ourselves. We find happiness in seeing a loved one happy or filfilled. There is a place in all of us where we can go and be very happy. FOr me, in some times, it is in making others laugh.

That reminds me of how it could be difficult for the rest of us to go out of our way to spend time with other people who may need our time.
Though it seems a little effort into giving more of our time to people would build the good habit of feeling genuinely concerned with other people.

happiness is in the here and now, when we decide that we want to be happy. happiness is not just an emotion, it is also a decision. we can be happy wherever we are and whatever our situation in life is. let us start now by appreciating the small things.
