china's gross domestic product, the broadest measure of economic output, grew at annual rate of 10:3 percent during the second quarter of 2010. But the pace eased compared to the 11:9 percent rate during first quarter.
with more than 1.3 billion people, china is the world's largest country and that fact, combined with its rapid economic growth of recent years, has made it a major player in the global economy.

China's Economic growth is the one of fastest nations in the world, this statement is indeed true, as a Chinese. Actually there are a lot of problems behind this good figures.
We have to keep our economy development in fast pace in order to ensure we have enough job positions to keep unempolyment rate as low as possible. Dont see that economy stastic looks good comparing to western developed countries. Many fresh graduates in China become umeployed once they gradauted from Universities.
Corruption problems is getting worser than before. Social stability is the paramount mission for China Government even at the cost of freedom in press, speech and etc.

Actually. China has been prosperous for over 30 years. The country is unique in its systems, from which perhaps we can learn something. The country itself is beatiful. In my mind, people there work hard and many of them are too intelligent. The nation is worhty of knowing anyway! Recommend you a good website
the ForeignerCN.com, which offers comprehensive information about news, bussiness, jobs, trval, entertainment, education for foreigners at China and those who are ready to go to China. It is in english. Maybe sometimes you can have a visit.

while it is wonderful to read the figures about CHINA,
dear dear friend.. never believe in the statistics.
if you would kindly consider the BENCH MARK, which is taken as a basis for considering the growth.. all the governments and agencies use this trick of fooling people who read the figures, to show growth.
even the world bank does the same, to either increase their loans, or refuse the loans. ... after all, the world bank is not living on the income from loans, but from the contracts that it gets to its people, through giving a loan.
