I used to be a lead vocalist of a band, And singing is my life, I used to, but not anymore, now. I just work at home, sometimes I still sing on weddings as a wedding singer. but as I aged, I think I lost those high tones, I mean I can't reach those high notes anymore, so I can't sing those high songs. I miss singing and I really miss my voice. My vocal range seems to reduce. IF you like singing, you have to take care of your voice, and try to sing right, I mean don't abuse it. It might go away.

hi Ivy that is sad, is there anything you can do to try to
get those high notes back or is it sort of irrevocable?
Did you sort of abuse your voice or did this just happen any
way. I have always envied those who have lovely voices and
can sing thehigh notes and in between notes too. I used to sing
in our church choir but I was not really gifted, it was more
'that I just enjoyed singing.Hope you might get some of it
back,. will do some praying, cannot hurt might even help.

hello there,i also love to sing, but most of the time i sing for myself,i'm shy when it comes to other people to hear my voice.cause i'm not a good singer.but i can sing with tunes.
yeah,i think as we age,it's really part of it,that our voices seem to change.
those high notes we can sing before wouldn't be as good as we age.
it's just so sad fact of life.
but at least you have experienced singing beautifully.
not all people can sing high notes.you are still lucky!
don't be sad for what you have lost, but be happy on those that are left.

you can still take care of your voice and the best thing that you can do is don't drink to much cold or hot that irritates our esophagus. Me also used to sing in a bad but not anymore and stay home to take care of the children but not im working alone as single mom and this my extra job. I do sing often specially in the bathroom or jamming with my kids so that I will not lost that touch even voice change its a matter of practice and discipline. Let have jamming Ivygrey LOL!
