Have you given a second chance to somebody and they just blew it again?

When a friend of your just apologized for the things she had done to you and she seems sincere and all, who are you not to forgive, right? So, all the while you thought this person probably changed for the better and then suddenly she did it again. Same mistakes she did to you and even worst. Sometimes you just wished that you had never forgiven her and never had given her a second chance. When this happens I think that's the way to really end the friendship. You tried, she just blew it all away. Does this ever happened to you?

Yes! Thought I had to a friend who blew it over and over again and I felt guilty about it sometimes. Too much care, too much help could have spoilt him. I've stopped since.

There are people who genuinely want to help themselves and those around. These are the people who deserve help. And I'm happy to help such people. Help doesn't have to be expensive. Being a friend, the support, a smile, hugs, lots of encouraging words, a pat on the back and being there.

I've had similar things happen to me several times in my life. And, there have been times where a friend of mine has done the same thing again. It is when the person commits what I view to be the same crime against me for the second time, that I will kiss the relationship goodbye. The reason that I tend to operate this way is because I view the first time as being shame on them. However, when it happens again it is more of a shame on me kind of situation.

Yes a lot of times, and that somebody was my dad...It really feels awful, I mean it really hurts..

This happens to me frequently. People take someone's last chance for granted. I get hurt, people get hurt, and our relationships get hurt. I usually don't give 3 strikes. It is 2 and your out. I am usually depressed over my decisions, but I know I did the right thing, and then take pride in what I do. i just hope people tat take 2nd chances for granted will feel the pain once they give their second chance and get burned. Yes i have. I have given a 2nd chance to my wife. it has just been a month . I know she will not blow it up. i love her l;ots and she tooo loves me and will be with me always.
