According to many inside sources, he is in negotiations with WWE right now for a comeback. What would Bill Goldberg coming back to the WWE mean for the company and the wrestling business at large? For one thing, they would see a resurgence of fans from back then. Goldberg was more popular in his time than most all of the superstars around today. Only a handful of current WWE Superstars have a fan base that is as large and loud as Goldberg.--- news from a few months ago...
Current:
Bill Goldberg recently tweeted the following regarding his negotiations with WWE:
"Until WWE realizes that I'm not just another wrestler signing a deal, I don't expect any progress"
"I don't expect any progress. Sorry."

Goldberg wants to come back after they butchered his run last time. Well, if there is a lot of money in it, then I could not blame him. However, this is the guy who was the most dominant force in WCW and one of the two big names that WCW made(the other being Sting), then they torpedo his career by putting him in a goofy comedy segment with Goldust where they stick a wig on his head.
I don't think there is a place in the current WWE for Goldberg and I am shocked that he would want to come back. Cena and Goldberg could do some good business however if they promote it well and not just throw it out there is another match. The problem is, with Goldberg, they just threw him out of there is another guy the last time. His match with the Rock should have been good but it fell a bit short of where it should have been and his matches with Triple H and Brock Lesnar also were not good.
I'm not sure if Goldberg would really fit all that well. He's seven years older than he was during that first WWE run in 2003-2004. He wasn't that young to begin with. Its really a double edged sword. You can't really have an older Goldberg rolling over young talent in less than a minute, Spear, Jackhammer, splat. On the other hand, you cannot really have Goldberg not slaughter people quickly, because he would not be Goldberg. He would just be, Generic Big Bald Guy with a couple of power moves.

That would be awesome if he made a return. I still wouldn't mind seeing Sting though but I'll take Goldberg..lol I wonder if they will talk about any of this on Raw or Smackdown. Now I'm wondering if he is the gm? Although, I guess he probably wouldn't be seeing as he seems to want to wrestle. Hmmm.....way to get us thinking. lol
