How soon do you mark the best response to a discussion?

I have many discussions from over a year ago where I have not chosen a response as the best because there are many worthy of receiving that award. I certainly never award one before a week has passed since I started the discussion. MyLot advise us to wait at least a week and I can certainly understand the reasons behind this. Not all of us are able to be here daily. Indeed some only log on at week-ends and it would be unfair to them if all the BRs had been awarded during their absence.

I usually wait until I get the best response. If no one gave me a satisfying answer, then I'll just wait. Sometimes I won't pick one because a comment discussion is going on between two of the responders and I want to see if it plays out.

You are more patient than I! I usually don't mark a best response. Most of my posts are written in a way where there can't be a best response. But there are times when a post can have a best response. With those I Know the best response when I read it. I usually make a note which post it is and wait two days. If No one has written anything close to the best response then I mark it. Sometimes I am ready to give out the best response and another is so well written there is a tie! That's when I don't give out a best tesponse.

In the past I do no do It, but now I always select best response. Sometimes It makes longer time to select It, but usually I select It when I response to all discussion answers. I think It is very important to select It, but many myLot users do not do It. I always read all responses again and then I choose my favourite. If I like many of them I make a draw and then I choose a people name, but I do not seen It before my eyes is closed. Take care, Have a nice day!

i do not take any specific time to mark the best response ..means when i get the correct solution from any other member i make it the best response .. i think maximum number of peoples do not make the best response . but i do if i get the answer or post which is very correct .every should mark the best response in their topics because it makes too easy to other peoples in case of no. of responses are their .so keep making your best response .happy mylotting .. hey ram nice topic started . -sudhir patil

the first time i did that was within a week as i did not have many comments. But now i wait for a long time as comments keep pouring everyday and i am not able to decide the best one soon.
