Infectious Emotions; Emotions that affect others

Our emotions are funny things. It’s weird how our hearts can control us faster than our brains can. Sometimes we know that we shouldn’t be emotional when doing something, or making decisions, or when handling heavy machinery....but then we are humans at the end of the day. And humans are emotional beings, aren't we? But funny isn’t it, how our emotions can effect others around us? I remember the times when my friends tell me not to be sad..because then they will be sad too. Or when an angry shout is answered by another angry reply, which then leads to a heated argument. Or that time my mother told me not to look so gloomy, because others who are in the room might feel down too.. And then there are those bright and sunny and happy days were everything seems to go right and we can’t stop smiling, and when we look at others they actually smile back! Or that funny joke that someone told and we don’t understand it, but laugh anyway because the laughter of others make the situation darn funny.. ever walked into a room feeling so down, only to cheer up when you hear good laughter coming from everyone around? Or even that infectious calming effect that some people have. Their calmness and empathy being able to cool down any heated situation or over excited group.. Our emotions really are infectious I guess.. I’d sure like to smile and laugh and make everyone smile and laugh along with me. hehehahahohohuuuheeee... So, how infectious have your emotions been lately?

Unfortunately mine had a great affect on someone close to me. It rubbed off on him and now he is almost as bad as i am. Emotions can be fun, nice and sometimes such a freaking pain. TATA.

Agree with you! When someone starts yawning in a meeting I would be next. It's just hard to control sometimes.

Yes easier to yawn, to laugh, to cry sometimes. Just irresistable. Wondering what's there we can easily not succumbed to...

Hi, mario, emotions are infectious if the people around us are close to us. If they are not close the infection may not be strong. Even thoughts are infectious. If you move with a negative minded person for a long time you will also become negative minded. It holds good for positive thoughts as well.

that's a good point there Vijay the closer someone is, the more easy it is for our emotions to effect them.. sometimes looking back at how everything was, i do hope i wasn't a bad influence on anyone when i was growing up...

i am hyper sensitive and emotional so i have to regret a lot due to this sentiment.

hmmm.... well, sometimes a sensitive person does get effected by some comments that may sound 'ok' to others. but then, to survive in today's world it would sometimes need us to develop the skill of being able to 'selectively ignore' potential situations that may give us regret. and also to learn about why does some of our friend's humor sound the way it is to us.. a good situational understanding would be a good way to start understanding the emotions of our friends and dear ones without getting seriously effected by it.. that's just my humble opinion

Often, however, the treatment and prevention of disease is oblivious to the great influence of our emotions and psyche of the formation with at first sight unrelated nemocí.Chinese already know the Millennium strong influence our thoughts and emotions to the overall health status.

Hi, hi, I am working on such a boring task that here I am again seeking for fun. Yes, emotions are infectious; even at the thought of a good laughter I feel much better. I am just sitting here thinking of sitting somewhere else. In a tea-garden chatting with friends, drinking coffee, joking and laughing, being at ease... How infectious have my emotions been recently? I don't know. Probably more than I would expect. I have a dog, she is 13 years old. She is a cross-breed of a sausage dog and only God knows what else. She was a stray dog when she got to my home. I am fond of her very much and for me she is the most beautiful, the cutest, the brightest dog all over the world. It is interesting, how much people react to this. We are often stopped on our walks in town. They want to tell nice compliments to her; children run up to give a stroke on her head. I think my affection for my dog is visible and infectious. She enjoys it a lot and walks proudly sweeping in the audience's applause.

that must be one cute dog you have there i guess the more we publicly show our affections towards our pets will naturally get everyone else to know that our pets are really quite friendly and approachable, hence they'd like to get near and give a nice comment or two
