How did you find that person you love now..Was it at some concert, in the grocery store? Where? I have made private vows so my special someone is Jesus ..I met Him in the Scriptures and in the Breaking of Bread and gave myself to Him Forever.

I met my husband when I was fifteen and following his nephew's best friend around the mall like a lost dog. Six years later I gave him my number. Eight months later we were married and are still lovey-dovey enough to sicken people, lol.

Are you a nun? Just curious. Anyway, I met my hubby in college, I was friends with his older brother and he introduced us when my hubby moved up here and started school where we were. We didn't actually start dating until we sort of fell in love at a wedding.

Can tell your parents online dating and or finding a love does work. I met my husband in a chat room a lil over 10 years ago and after 3 years he came to meet me and we were married 4 months later... We have been married 7 1/2 years now and we are still in love and happy.

Well,I met my husband through my parents. Though that's the general trend here in India, things are changing now. I chose this option. My parents asked me if I was in love with anyone that I wanted to marry. And I said 'No', why don't they just go ahead and find someone who they thought would be right for me...and that's what they did. Love sort of grew after that...and maybe we love qualities that others probably wouldn't think of when they meet the first time...like how you spend time with the kids or how responsible you are...things like that.

I met my spouse through a family made arrangement. We actually met for the purpose of marriage and we ended up liking each other and agreed to spend the rest of our lives together.

My husband and I met in a chat room on line. We talked in the chat room and on the phone for a couple years. He came to visit me and I went to visit him off and on. I finally made the decision to move to be with him and we got married. It will 5 years next month.

I know just what you mean, LittleFranciscan. It is so wonderful that you can think of yourself as given to Him.
Why is it that men cannot have the same special commitment, quite? Priests, they say, can be married to the Church but the Church is not a person, it is a body of people ... and, in any case, is referred to as Mother Church. It is illogical to marry one's mother!
The one I love most is God (the name is a convenience because he/she is known by many names by different people and is not always thought of as one person, even). I met Him in a bus, travelling home from work, because I was on my beam ends about a 'sin' I thought I had committed. In the blackness, He came and showed me the true meaning of sin. He didn't say that what I had done was right but he showed me that it was, nevertheless, blessed because it was done in honesty and love and because I had cared that it was what is termed 'sin' by humans. How can you not love someone who treats you like that?
A very close second is someone I have known for four years now from the Internet. We met playing an online game but very soon came to talking every day on Messenger. She does not see God at all in the same way that I do but our relationship goes deeper than words and I know that it is blessed.
Then there is my wife, who I met before all of this happened ...

I met my first wife while travelling in India, it took 4 yrs of correspondence before we finally married, sadly we parted after 10 years. My present wife I met on the Internet, in an AOL chat actually lol. We were together within 3 months and married a month later... We are still happy and very much in love after 10 yrs and raising 3 teenage girls.

I met my hubby at a convience store. A friend and I were riding around just BSing, and she thought that she saw her uncle and flagged these 2 guys down. Well, it wasnt her uncle, he was just my future hubby. We have been together for 7 long hard years!

well its a long, funny, complicated story. i met my husbands friend over the internet through a local chat room. i was talking to his friend over the phone for a while. one night when i needed to vent about an ex i called his friend and he just said he was busy and gave the phone to him...we started talking (the first time we met each other) and that coversation lasted 5 hours...straight into Valentines day. the next day the both of them picked me up from work and i met them face to face for the first time. i thought he was the cutest thing in the world, but his friend (the one i first started talking to) was interested in me as well...long story short less then a year latter we get married and have 2 children....
