Banana Holder?

Have you ever seen a banana holder? I was amused when I saw one recently at Daiso. I thought it's a great idea. Some of our kids bring it for lunch. Adults also bring along a banana to work. So, how do you make sure that your banana is not squashed? This banana holder will keep it in tact. Superb idea!
Have you encountered any other amusing but useful things at the store?

Hi SydneyHazelton, here we can see the ripe bananas are hung on the iron hangers on the street stalls. It's easy for customers to pick their desirable ones. There is a tied string available on every bunch of bananas. We usually get the string on the banana get caught on the hanger behind the front seats of our car seat. If we like we could place the banana in the rattan fruit holder.
We don't take bananas as lunch. It's fruit that we are used to take after meal. Therefore kids or adults won't bring any of them to school or office. We have fresh fried bananas. Some people like to eat them during tea time in the office.
Thanks for this discussion for giving the opportunity to view the fancy two levels fruit holder to store and ripen fruit. There is a separate hanger beside to hang bananas. It looks more decent to arrange bananas and the rest of the fruits in this way than just hang the bananas on the wall hook
Happy posting

Thanks a lot for sharing the individual banana holders in such a conspicuous image shown. I think the one with tiny ventilation holes is better as fruit does need circulating air to keep it in fresh and good condition always. Moreover the this individual container will prevent the banana from being squashed in transit even in the packed bag. I haven't seen any such adorable and practical banana holder available in the market here yet. I would like to get a few if there is any sold here. And might be I would like to take a couple of bananas to office as well And I would like to share this info with my friends here sending the valuable link to them
Take care and have a nice day

hi lkbooi,
Actually, the one I'm talking about is an individual holder for each banana. The banana hanger is for a bunch of bananas. This is really cute. Take a look!

yes, strangely enough I have seen these banana holders recently and thought they were a neat idea. It certainly protects the bananas from getting bruised or damaged in any way. I saw them in a cataloge, but have not ordered one yet, but I might well be doing soo soon. _Derek

Hi Derek,
How much is a banana holder in the catalogue? I'll get you one for $2. How about that?

Yes I have seen them here in Italy.
A banana is a perfect snack for me to take to work, especially when I am doing the six hour evening shift but... if I put one in my bag and in its own holder too, well... whatever would people think?
I didn't buy one and decided that I will not take a banana to work. I will have one at home when I get an evening off and no-one would know

Yes, and that is why I think it is best not to have one in my bag lol

hi there,
Bananas are a great snack and energy booster. If you take a look at the banana holder, I think you won't want to bring it to work. Is the ones in Italy something like this?

hi Sydney oh right Kids are different and yes I think they are really
cute and handy too.my fussy tablemate regaled me at dinner, we eat at 4 in the afternoon which is absurd but thats their way, with her complaints. The spaghetti was not wholegrain, the veggies were frozen ones, I should not drink so much coffee, then we were given bananas for dessert, whole ones, and they were partly green. oh she had a fit there, cannot even give us ripe b ananas. I personally like mine firmer and a little green since for a diabetic they do not shoot your blood sugar up so high. he he.

hi Hatley,
haha... it's true but it may not be so if your kids carry them to school for a snack. I think it is really cute and a brilliant idea!

hi kolsti87,
that sounds funny, the way you put it. I guess you need not bring an extra item when you go camping. some people have the habit of forgetting to bring a comb when they are away for a couple of days. I really forgot to add a pic for this. Take a look at the banana holder!

Hi Syndney! Nice to see you! I actually did see a banana holder
in one of the dollar stores and I was going to buy it and then
I didn't and now I am sorry that I didn't! And I probably
won't find one again since that was the only time that I had
seen one! Very smart and cute! And I love bananas and the make
the perfect snack! I will have to look around until I find one
again! I did finally find a banana tree was thrilled to finally
find that!lol

I saw a handphone holder that holds your phone when you are charging it. It has this 'hole' for the plug and a platform where you can place your phone.
I thought it is a great idea until I saw its price. The plastic thing costs SGD10!! I think I will wait till Daiso have it manufactured and sell it at USD2..

Hi SydneyHazelton!
Honestly I've never heard or seen one. Perhaps that's because I've not been doing much shopping except for the grocery shopping let alone at Daiso. But it sure is very interesting. Like you said a superb idea. I may just look for one.

That's a new one to me. It's a good idea if you like bananas. I remember seeing a combined spoon and fork for picnic use. I think they ended up being called 'sporks'.
