The Minnesota Timberwolves has released Al Jefferson to the Utah Jazz. It was a move by the Wolves management to make Michael Beasley, Kevin Love and Darko Milicic a strong hold in the paint. It was also a right decision for the Jazz of acquiring Jefferson to make up with the loss of their star forward Carlos Boozer to Chicago Bulls.

I was a little surprised by this move. I thought that Paul Milsap was ready to fill the void left by Boozer's departure. I guess Utah disagreed which is why they traded for Jefferson. If Jefferson is healthy then he's a good 20-10 guy but the problem is that everywhere he's been, the teams have been bad. He can put up numbers but can he be a winner. Does he know how to lead his team to wins or is he just a guy like a Zach Randolph that's good at putting up great individual numbers but doesn't really help a team win. That's my only question about Jefferson. Great individual player but hasn't proven himself as a winner yet.

He is a marquee player. Maybe he always land to the teams who have no chance really of becoming a great team. We should give this man a chance. I think he can be better if given the opportunity to play in those competitive teams.

The center spot is left blank for the Utah Jazz. Mehmet Okur can take the slot but the way he plays is like a small or a power forward. He cannot even post up defenders. I think Utah needs more one guy other than Williams and Jefferson to fit well in the team. Someone with the likes of Zac Randolph, who can bang bodies.

Al Jefferson is great, he is the new postman or mailman delivery. They need it badly. 1. Points in the paint. 2. Rebounding 3. Mid-range jumper 4. High - Low play 5. Dunking

I think this was a great move by Utah Jazz. Any team who loses a player of the caliber of Carlos Boozer will certainly have to replace him with a very good player and in Al Jefferson they have managed to stay as good as they were.
