The world cup final . What do you thing ? Did the Spain get victory deservedly?

My favorite was Argentina. When they were knocked out, I rooted for the Dutch. Imagine the double heartache that I have to suffer. Nonetheless, I think this World Cup is good. Not the best definitely but it wasn't that bad. It started really slowly where to goals ain't going in. However, as the tournament progress, so do the goals. Spain, thou ain't the most exciting, they are worthy champions.

My favorite was Spain, At first i thought Argentina or Brazil would go for the cup but it seems that Spain and Holland played well, even Germany was no match against Spain, and at the very final both Spain and Holland played allot, well it was all of a sudden that span got a hit at the last time. Holland played really good it never surprises me.anyway only the best got the cup that is Spain of course. i wonder who will win next world cup.

Well,Spain is my favorite but yeah, the final is anticlimax. but at least the final was better than that in `90 and 94, even 2006. Spain was a little bit provoked by Holland, and even the Dutch legend Johan Cryuff criticized the way Van Persie etc were playing on the final..Spain could have won more than 1 goal, I think. Besides Spain, Argentina and Brazilare my favorite, unfortunately they left the tournament earlier than expected

You have just spoken by own words. I did comment exactly same in the morning of next day of world cup final to my friends and relatives about the game. It is not for the reason that none can't score even from open net or 1:1 situations. It was worst ever because the two teams never expected to be in final and when they did get the chance, in tension or pressure or by strategic plan, both want to kill the opponent by poor tackling and poor manners.

This World Cup had an undeserved winner, Spain was helped by referees in every game after group stage. With Portugal they scored offside, with Paraguay Cardozo should have repeated the penalty because many Spanish players were in the box before Cardozo shooting, with Germany Sergio Ramos should have been sent off for tackling Podolski, and in the final they scored after Iniesta being offside in the firs action, when a Dutch defender rejected the ball and then the ball got to Iniesta. But this is football, you have to have luck to win and Spain had plenty of it during this World Cup.

I completely agree with you that the final was the most horrible final. But the blame lies squarely with the Dutch, who did not come to play the final. They simply came there to foul and hurt the opponents. I was fed up seeing the tackle after tackle taking down players. De Jong's super kick on Alonso was really the worst of all and deserved a straight red. De Jong, Van Bommel, Robben and Puyol all deserved to be sent off!! But, given this I think Spain deserved to win the match, because they were the better team and throughout the tournament they emerged as the best team. With their passing game, they really bossed over opponents, especially the way they dominated Germany and the Dutch in the semis and the finals!! Cheers! Ram

I think that Spain won the World Cup deserved . Even with not so good games, they managed to reach the final. There they showed very good game in attack and defense and deservedly won the match and the title of world champion. My personal favorite was Argentina but they dropped at an earlier stage . In the final match In the penalty kick last meeting wanted ?o set the new world champion, not Iniesta not provide me this pleasure. This is my response for this discussion . Good morning.

SPain won the Cup, and deservedly so. they controlled the midfield and possession throughout the knockout stages. in the final game, they had the netherlands playing a defensive game while they attacked throughout time and time again. so yes, in answer to your question, spain won the world cup because they were the best team on the field day after day.
