Do you taste what your feline is eating. I'm just curious if any of you tried to put yourself in the cat's situation. Have you? Do you think it's gross?

Ya i promise that i will never ever taste the pets food,because it smell bad as well as i don't like pet animals.

Hello Gorillafootprints925, i never tried to taste my cats food. It smells gross to me but my cat just loves it. I tasted what myself eat and them maybe give to my cat :). But shes got a problem with urine so i dont give much. Cheers and happy myLotting !

In my time as a pet parent I have tasted cat, dog, and rat food. Never went so far as to taste the fish flakes though. It is pretty gross tasting, but the animals do seem to like it.

Hi, Actually I have tasted a piece of dried cat food(Whiskas), it was sour for me. never tried canned one, but expensive one like Fancy Fiesta Tuna flake smells same as a canned tuna for human's (Chicken of Sea etc..).

I would never taste my cat's food. If she likes it, then it must be good to a cat. I don't think I'm willing to put myself in her shoes, cat food smells disgusting, especially the wet food. As long as my cat likes her food, I'm satisfied.

I have never done it, and I suppose I won't, but my sister has tasted my pets food many times. Actually, I don't like its smell.

I have never tried my cats food i feed her wet food and just the smell of it makes me feel sick it smells very gross. It makes me feel bad for those homeless people who hear about eating it.
