i was reading this article about this author who took it upon herself to find out if love can exist or be found without lust affecting anything. it got me thinking can love be without lust or thoughts of physical enticement. and is it possible for one to love someone without lusting after them?? I thought of the married paraplegics and how they are able to maintain a married life without necessarily being able to pursue a physical relationship.

Love and lust depends on your maturity and where you are in your life.
At 27 you certainly have a different persapective on whats important in a relationship than when your 47.
Also it depends on your experience in relationships. After you have been through several relationships or with many partners you realize there is not that much physical difference between partners.
We all have many of the same features whether, we are short or tall, fat or skinny.
For a man or a women no matter how beautiful your partner is , if thats all they have to attract you there is nothing else that will hold you. Beauty is not enough. No matter how beautiful the person is you will get tired of them if thats all they have.
The most important things are trust and support and growth if you can have that a relationship can work. Men can resist the urge but it is hard because its ingrained in our minds but if we can find balance we can survive.
