i have heard some say that chacha is a legit site to earn money on. i have some doubts about signing up to chacha as a guide though.. when i come near the end of the registration for becoming a guide on chacha it asks for very personal information, like my social security number, etc.. for those of you who truely know about chacha can you please let me know whether it is a scam? or if it is legit? thank you

I didn't like giving them my Social Security Number either, so I went to irs.gov & applied for an Employee Identification Number (EIN). That number is linked to your SS#, but I felt it was safer to give out online. I worked with them for a while before having problems & having to drop out. It's been long enough now that I would probably have to take the training class all over again. They are a legit site. You just need to work fast & well under pressure!!!

You probably won't have to take the test again. I passed the test and then got another job and forgot all about it. Then, I ran across an email with someone's ChaCha signature on it and decided to log into mine and I was able to jump on and answer question immediately.

It is legit. I have been working on it since March 2009. They ask for you ssn because it is an actual job. You have to pay taxes on it.

I've been working for them for quite sometime as well, and just like everyone else here has told you already, the SS# is only for tax purposes. You don't have to report it though unless you make $600 or more. If you do, they will send you the forms that you need to do your taxes and all that. But, again, they pay and its a great earning opportunity. They have several contests all the time that give you a chance to earn extra money. I love it. I don't always have time for it, but when I do, I love being able to just login and work when I want.
