Lick on cone? Or on cup with spoon?

This summer we are using ice cream cones for treats for my Wed night childrens Bible Class. I try to have a treat for them every week and this summer decided on ice cream cones, no dishes to wash. Has to be the best part of ice cream cones! However, I like ice cream sundaes and that doesn't work in a cone.

i hate it when people remove their tongue to lick on the cone. well it's ok for children but for adults.. no way.. i prefer to have a spoon.

I never really liked eating it on a cone. There is just really no way I can put it down. Well, I can technically put the ice cream down, but it does get rather messy all things considered. So I have eaten cones and if its there, I won't say no to it, because it is in fact ice cream, but its not my preferred method of eating. I put the ice cream in a bowl and just enjoy it. That way, I can have it sit there and can eat it at my leisure. Of course, if it is hot, it well melt, but I can do other things while eating it and not having to hold the cone in one hand. So while all ice cream is good, I prefer it in a bowl. That is just the way I enjoy eating ice cream and have enjoyed eating it for quite some time.

I oftentimes eat ice cream in a cone when I was a kid. But as I grow up, I prefer eating ice cream in a cup.

I like to eat ice cream on a cone. I love the crunchiness of the cone. When I use the cup, I have to think of where to throw deposit the cup. If there are not dustbins nearby I have to walk around with it. Whereas with a cone, I eat the whole ice cream.

I love all of them. Doesn't matter for me much whether it is cone or candy bar or a cup!!! I just enjoy ice cream, I love it so much!! I feel like having ice cream every day. Whenever I am outside, an have an opportunity I buy myself an ice cream! It may be a cone, candy bar or a cup!!

what a nice question. I like licking ice cream on cone. I think its so much fun licking the ice cream from the cone rather than eating it with a spoon. That's too formal. My dad also loves licking ice cream on a cone and every time he buys ice cream, he never forgets the cones.

I love eating it in a cup with a cone on top....to get the best of both worlds. Hahaha! I first scoop the ice cream out using the cone. When I'm finished with the cone, I use my spoon to finish up the ice cream. It's less messy this way. Plus, you're not pressured to eat it all up quickly because it wouldn't drip down your hands. Love it!

ice cream cones are better by far! They're more fun to eat, and taste amazing. If you ate out of a bowl, you'd have to clean the dishes after which is such a hassle.

I think the ice cream with a cone is more fun than a cup. The most fun way to enjoy ice cream is to lick it up. Crunchy sensation of the cone to be bitten provide a perfect end pleasure of enjoying ice cream. hhhmmm yum..yummm :)

I prefer to rush through ice cream. Coz I think the taste goes bad when it melts. Anyway I regard cones as a part of ice cream, as they are so tasty. In another word, the cones complete the ice cream, and make them even more delicious.

Nothing beats eating ice cream on a cone. I guess it brings the child out in us. I also love the sprinkles and chocolate that is added, especially for the soft ice creams. But if its regular ice cream, I would have a double scoop and I don't care about the calories!

hi ivy yes I am that way too as when we were kids it was fun to lick on the cone but now I want mine in a cup so if it melts I will not drip on my clothes. After all I went to get every drip of it in my own mouth instead.

When it comes to ice cream, there is no right or wrong way to eat it. Eating it from a cup with a spoon is a great way to enjoy it. I prefer to have my ice cream in a cone whenever I can. I enjoy ice cream in a sugar cone the most. Still, anyway to enjoy ice cream is the best.

Yeah, I have the same experience as you. I now prefer eating it in a cup with a spoon rather than a cone. In my younger days I loved licking ice cream from a cone. Not anymore. Well, I guess we all change either for the good or otherwise.

It depends on the weather for me. If it is too hot then I get a cup and spoon. But I still like the cone for the memories and to keep the tongue in shape. I also like te idea of balancing three scoops of ice cream on the cone so it doesn't fall into my shirt pocket. Good for the balanceand dexterity. I also believe the ice cream lasts longer with a cone, which is good for the soul.
