There are some teachers or lecturers who are very strict with students as they don't like to give any type of liberty to students as they feel that students might not respect them if they are friendly with them. But there are also some teachers who like to be in close an friendly terms with students and even students most of the time will like these type of teachers and prosper in studies or whatever activities they get in.What do you prefer here?

As a student, I prefer teachers who are friendly but don't tolerate mistakes and irresponsible students. But teachers who are strict challenge students to work harder and to exert greater effort...:D Some of them, are really kind deep inside. You just have to know their soft spot.:D

There are teachers who struggle a lot to make the students score good marks and excel in class. They can tolerate even the notorious students. But there are also some teachers who take class just for the sake of taking their salary and nothing else. You cannot get an help from them and once they finish off their class , everything is over.Teaching should be passion for teachers as learning is for students

When I taught, I was friendly with my students. We were buddies. I knew about their girl/boyfriends, I know about their studies or homework, and hobbies/passions. I think this relationship is the best. One, of course, must be careful to cross boundaries and have clear boundaries with their students.

Nice to meet a teacher here and it's really great that you are also one of the kind who is soft to students and also loved by students.Everybody cannot be like you and the world needs more of people like you or teachers like you.I do love teachers who are like friends with students and as yous aid the should stay within the boundary and not crossing the boundary

Hi, alienstar. I prefer teachers that don't take any mess from their students. I also would like a teacher that is very helpful, easy going and caring to each and all of their students. Having a strict teacher is no fun at all. I want to see a teacher have some kind of excitement. It makes attending class very enjoyable.

I'm a student and i prefer teacher's who are friendly to some extent. The best teacher I ever had that i truely learned a lot from was very friendly with students. She even disagreed with some of the strict rules of my school. My old school had a lot of ridiculous unrealistic rules. All the students at that school had respect for that teacher, they would listen to her, and they learned the most from her, and at the same time we all had tons of fun in her class!!
Being friendly and a pushover isn't a good thing though. When they are a pushover that is when the students lose respect. If the teacher is friendly but doesn't tolerate bull ****, then that's a great teacher!

I was very naughty in my younger days and we had a teacher who was very friendly with students and also who could tolerate all the mischievous things students do.I was even irritating her many times as she was friendly with students and strangely she was tolerating me and was telling me what is good and what is and explaining the subject even after finishing the class.I changed later on and scored good marks in class only because of her
