Only Religious people still pray to God! When you want or need something, open the tear ducts and pray. Do this, and believe God will be touched! I've seen the Religious praying over their restaurant meals in a crowded places, obviously enjoying the fact that their Heathen audience will see their piousness, and believe they are the chosen few of God.
Spiritual people, commune with God, without prayers and praying. They have no need of a Priest, Pastor, or Prayer to intercede with God on their behalf. They wake up in the morning with a Thankful Heart, and carry those thoughts through the day. Bad times are lessons learned. Upon going to bed at night they remain Thankful for the learning opportunities of the day, and look forward to the morrow. God is Great, and Greatly to be Praised!

There is a reason for praying over a meal, be it in a private home or in a resataurant. For thannkfulness of provision, for the time of fellowship. How could you possibly know these peoples hearts when you see them praying in a public place? The Bible of the true and living God tells me to be fervent in prayer, without ceasing. There is also intecessory prayer, these prayers are for others, our nation, our leaders, our neighbors, our loved ones, the sick and poor, the lost souls in this fallen world. Then there is our sins,to pray for forgiveness. God will not answer the prayers of the one who harbors unconfessed sin. Yes there are many reasons to pray to God the Father. Adoration, Confession,Thanksgiving, and Supplication.

Gods wants a close relationship with us, and prayer is one of the ways that we draw closer to God. Going through a triai, or rough time as you put it, is just that, a trial. Prayer is very important at these times. The Bible tells to be fervent in prayer, never ceasing. I pray all the day and night long, but I also have my prayer closet, a special private place to pray, away from everyone else at the end of the day and early in the morning to be closee to my Father. It is here that I use the list I have compiled of people I want to pray for. There are conditions that must be met in order for your prayers to be answered. The way you pray and your spiritual condition are factors in having prayers answered. Pray according to God's will. Knowledge of the Scriptures goes a long way in learning and understanding God's will God is a god of order, and your prayers should reflect some assemblance of order. Begin with Adoration - Praise God for His love, His power, the Gift of Jesus, Confession - Be honest and humble and tell God where you have sinned. Remember He loves you. Thanksgiving - Tell God you are gratefull for everything he has given and provided for you, even things that you consider to be bad things. It will help to see His purpose for your life. Finally, Supplications - Pray for others first, then yourself. TO remember the order use "A.C.T.S." Here are some Bible verses that will show some of the reasons why a persons prayers are not being answered. Psalm 66:18, James 1:6, James 4:3, Proverbs 21:13, I Peter 3:7. Always ask in Jesus name, on behalf of His merit when ending your prayer. No matter what is going on in your situation do not give up in your prayers, stay with it. He will never leave or forsake you.

I am praying to God every chances I've got. Whether HE answers or not,I'll still and I will. Praying isn't just because of asking but establishing a good relationship to GOD.

I still pray...:D I pray to Him everyday... But of course when I'm down I listen to Him more because it soothes my worried heart and my stressed mind...:D I share to God my happiness because in the first place He is the one who allow such thing to happen...:D

It may be difficult to pray when you are going through rough times. But when I get to think about it, what am I going to lose when I pray? If the Lord doesn't answer my prayers( well sometimes I don't get the answers I want ), I know that it is the right thing to do. The Lord helps me through rough times (which will surely pass) and when I am so depressed, I just pray the Lord' prayer ( Our Father... ) and I remind myself that the Lord prays for me too and for all those who believe Him and put their trust in Him (you may want to read John 17.)Have a nice day

I appreciate your reponse to people praying thanks for their meal n a restaurant. People do not know my heart, only God does. Oh, Yes, I still pray. Does God always answer my prayer, yes. It may not be in my will or in my timing, however, God does answer. I pray thanks to God for finding my keys, for selecting an appropriate doctor, for food...I pray to God in distress. I pray to God for others. In fact I am in constant communication with God.
Only God knows my heart.
God bless you

Those bad times, problems, trials are inevitable while we are still alive. Therefore we should not forget to always pray most especially during those times. We may not always have answered prayers, but we just have to pray and trust God, because everything that God allows has a purpose why it happened. Those bad times can always make us stronger and closer to God if we will just know how to deal with it properly and not lose faith in God.

Whenever i pray I just always tell HIM that i could conquer all the problems because I know he won't abandon me.It just gives me confidence that I actually can do it because he would just be around.I learned this from a television preacher and it really works. There are so many other ways in finding God in your own self.Good luck!!!

I pray when things go good and when things go bad. A lot of people only tend to pray when things are going horrible and they need help with the struggles they are going through. We must remember that we are supposed to pray in good times and in bad. The Bible even states that we should pray without ceasing.

Yes, I pray every day even during bad times and even more when the problem doesn't end. I must do a lot of praying as I seem to have a problem that doesn't end. Was devorice March 1,2002. Had a great job at that time. In March of 2003 was laid off. Looked and looked for a job. Month after month. On food stamps, and having to find agencies to help with my bills. Was given an eviction notice July of 2003. Could not pay rent. Two days later a man I had been dating for a month let me move in with him. Still looking for a job. Then a September of 2003 this guy talked to his boss and landed me a job. Two months later there was notice of the company having to move out of the state. Again here I am praying for God to grant me a Job. I found a job in 2004 and moved into my own place. Again I lost another job in 2005. I pray asking God, "Why me God. Why does this keep happening to me? Why is my life like this? I had been back looking again. Asking agencies for help with bill and food. August 2005 moved in with Ex's parents. Had no place else to go. Looking and looking again. Met a guy October 2005. Easter weekend of 2006 had to move in with him for Ex's parents starting to have financial problems. Still praying and asking God to help me figure out why my life is like this. Been in and out of temp jobs that only last a month or two. Then I thought G0d answered my prayer. In February of 2008 landed a great telemarketing job. They loved me there and was getting awesome reviews. Then October of 2008, was let go. Confused and praying to God in anger this time. "Why God? Why do you do this to me? Find a great job. Supervisor love me. What happened? Why again? when will this end? You are so mean to me! MEAN! MEAN! MEAN!" Well, here I am on My Lot telling you my story of how I pray to God through bad times, through a problem that does not end with my going in and out of jobs. I am telling you this from my Government Subsidized Housing Apartment, living on Food Stamps and having my one and only Best friend help me pay my rent, electric, gas, for extra food when my Food Stamps card runs out, and having to take me to look for work twice a week as I have no car. I have been all of 2009 with no job and still 2010, no job. No one will hire me. I still pray and pray and pray and pray. I still have my moments of yelling at God, cussing at him and them crying for being mean to God. Someone told me the other day, God does not always answer prayers right away. He puts us on a path that we may not like as a way to test our strength. God has something in mind for us all. Some get there faster, some slow and some never. I often wonder what is I'm suppose to be doing here on this earth? What does God have a in mind for me? I sit in this mist of bad times, and a problem that still exist praying everyday for a change in my life. I pray and pray and pray. One of these days my pray will be answered. Maybe it is for me to sit here on My Lot and help others with there problems as I am a great typist. Just keep up your spirits and keep praying. Soon your prayer will be answered. Just go down the road Gos is testing you on and soon you will be on the right road just like me. My answer is to return to school in the fall for Medical Coding witch I am doing on Government Grant Money. Keep your head up high. God has a plan for you. Keep praying and loving your Lord. Wish you the best.
