The Prisoner (2009 remake)

This remake has been in work since 2009 and it was launched on public television (AMC) at the end of 2009. I really like the history so I rate it with 9.5/10 This is a mini serie full of mysterie and I recommend everyone to watch it. In this remake we have Ian McKellen as the famous number 2 and James Caviezel as number 6 they do an excellent job on this serie. The serie is a tiny one and it only has 6 episodes. This is a MUST HAVE in any collection of serie fans !

I tried watching the first episode of this when it was on television last year. I just could not get into it. I did like the original series so I might give this one another chance if I can pick it up on DVD in the bargain bins.

no! why did they have to remake this?! it was a sacred classic! I cant really comment on this as I only caught bits and bobs of it..But I didnt like what I saw to be honest! I do like Caviezel though!

I missed this show entirely although I did see the original. What made the original more interesting is that it came out right after the end of the Secret Agent series that also starred Patrick McGoohan. Any idea if it will be rebroadcast or where it can be seen on the web?

I watched this on the iplayer and I really enjoyed it. I especially liked the way they mixed the old with the new.I didn't see the original series so it was interesting being able to compare the original with the remake.
