During the exam period I always try to eat as well as I can so that at least my brain functions to an extent so that I can fully concentrate to pass my exams. I try to eat lot of fruits and vegetables that contain lots of vitamins and minerals. What else could I do or eat to boost my brain?

Chew on chewing gum. Reportedly boosts your brains by 10%. Also proper sleep and some meditation or self-hypnosis will relax your body and soul.

In addition I want to say that you should chew gum during the exams and not prior or after, the effect is lost that way.

Chewing gum? I think I did hear something about this, although I'm not sure if we're allowed gum in the exam room, will have to check this one... thanks! :)

Omega 3 fatiacid is essential for brain. Tuna and Salmon are the best sources of Omega-3 fatty acids, which are healthy fats. Include a lot of colourfull vegetables in your children's diet. Oats, beans, flax seeds, fruits, milk, eggs, almonds, peanuts, banana etc are also good for boosting brain functions. Feed them walnuts, almonds or flaxseed, which are great sources of Omega-3 fatty acids. Fruits and vegetables are high in antioxidants, which have been linked to improved memory and brain function.

I find Omega 3 is really good and helps to boost my moods. It's also very good for good brain functioning and i also find that my skin is less dry when I have had omega 3 oils. :)

Eating banana also can help boosts brain function, so better eat banana before examinations period. It is an excellent food for calming nervous system too.

Even though a good meal should have several servings of veggies and also fruits, the easiest way to make your brain work immediatly is by eating sugar. Refined sugar goes to the brain in little time. That´s why it is so adictive. Brain needs fuel to function and refined sugar doesn´t need time to be digested. It is also a good idea to take a bit of hard candy to your exam for the same reason.

According to experts the following foods are thought to be good for 'brain foods' Avocados Bananas Beef, lean Brewer's yeast Broccoli Brown rice Brussels sprouts Cantaloupe Cheese Chicken Collard greens Eggs Flaxseed oil Legumes Milk Oatmeal Oranges Peanut butter Peas Potatoes Romaine lettuce Salmon Soybeans Spinach Tuna Turkey Wheat germ Yogurt It is also important that you eat a good breakfast - don't go into your exams on an empty stomach. Good luck
