I don't think you have to really quit to play the piano even if you like guitar. 6 years is not a short time. And I am sure you have a good ability to play the piano. Don't give it up. You can learn to play the guitar, too. Perhaps you can spend longer time on guitar because you are new to it.
I love China

A lot of people are multi instrumentalists, and the guitar is easier to pick up than the piano. Try doing both you might be surprised by how easily you can pick up the guitar especially if you already play piano. I've tried learning guitar and piano but have never been able to do either well enough to perform, well done for being able to play the piano it takes a lot of dedication.

You can have both. It's just a matter of time management. If you really like something you would do anything to give time to that no matter how busy your life can be. If you want to start having guitar lessons i don' think quitting from playing the piano would do. I mean you can stop having piano lessons and start having guitar lessons instead but don't stop playing piano. Not everyone can have the talent or the gift to play such instruments. And not everyone can has the opportunity or the budget to take lessons. Take it from me. Well, in my case i play piano and violin. I started taking piano lessons when i was in my elementary days then decided to stop the lessons but i never stop playing the piano. I took time playing and practicing until now i still play piano. I started having my violin lessons at the age of 19 or 20. It was actually a tough one because it wasn't really an easy instrument to play but who cares? Now, i still play the violin. Although i haven't been having lessons for a couple of years now because of financial reasons but i'm still planning on taking lessons again, soon. So my advice to you is to never stop playing music. ;-]

i suggest you to play guitar because guitar can put emphasis to your feelings when you play, , there are a lot of things you can do in a guitar than on a piano like pinch harmonics , bending notes , pick slide and others but it is harder to play a guitar than piano of course , , , , i'm playing guitar for 5 years and i'm on a band. i enjoyed GIGs because when i'm holding a guitar i can move around the stage and it makes me gain a lot of confidence
