Social networking site in rising, which one you prefer?

There were many social networking are rising and growing. Needless to say, mylot has be around for long while, and I really like it very much. As matter of fact, I come here quite a lot, almost everyday of a year. Although the money I made is not much, but I enjoy posting and replying to different discussions.
There are also other websites provide variety of tools to make your profile, or collect everyone's creativity to make their social network elegant, at the same they also pay for your effort in doing so. Like sidetick, mypage 5, etc..... I am willing to join them all, and enjoy the luxury of create new stuff and I can also advertising my business if I can. Hope everyone will use the best of those social networking sites.

There are only 3 social networking sites that I have been active and it is Mylot, Mypage5 and Facebook if you would ask me which one will I prefer, I'll choose Mylot because it same thing I do facebook connect with my friends but I don't get paid. So why not invite them to join here and earn money while having fun talking to them.

I agreed. But I would rather use facebook for business promotion rather than using mylot. Because mylot base entirely on its profit making, and we just an employee to it. We have to abide by a lot of rules imposed by mylot. So, there is no interest conflicting. I would rather use facebook as a tool to promote the websites or business.

You make some very good points. I only use social sites such as myLot to network, to help those in my particular niche when they request it , and to seek out info on other online money making opportunities. I do not and will not ever join a social site because of the bells and whistles a site might offer, to upgrade (I don't care how much money they say I could make) or to pay a monthly fee for the privilege of becoming a member.
Make sure when you scope out these other social sites that you read what is involved before joining.

i believe social networking sites had been there for ages, the dawn of the beginning started with friends. and the social site that promotes earning through referrals was yuwie. later on, they were other sites like facebook, myspace, connection, tag, hi5, and others. of course, there was also MYLOT that started in 2004 but never noticed until 2006

I have 4 social networking sites, but I only use 3 out of the 4, which are facebook and mylot and sometimes yahoo answers. I like social networking especially facebook, because i can keep up w/ family and friends. Its pretty easy, and i enjoy it.

Thank you for so many answers, but what do these social sites pay for. What do we need to do on these websites so that we can start earning some money. I see in mylot we can get paid for participating in discussions, posting photos, blogs etc. but what about these social websites? What are the tasks to get paid? I do not see any options for this.

I used to be using Friendster and than Facebook. Right now I just started in using myLot. Same with most of my friends here..

There are 3 that I prefer. I use Mylot for discussions and earning a little money, Facebook to keep up with family and for people who I consider real friends and Yuwie I use to meet and talk to new people and maybe earn some money which I haven't really earned over there but I haven't been trying that hard.

Beside myLot, I use facebook, orkut and twitter. But I like facebook the most. It provides many customization options and also the interface is also very clean and good. Twitter is also good and there are more benefits if you have more followers. Orkut is just average and have lesser functionality than facebook. I also like myLot as I am paid here real money, which I don't get in any other such site.

I have heard that we can earn some ammount. Using the social websites like facebook etc. Can anyone guide me as to how we can do this? Is anyone earning some money off these sites? If yes, how much can you earn in month?

I like facebook but since mylot is paying then I kinda like it already..lol the only thing that matters to me most is that if the site is very active and members are keep on visiting the site. I know that only members can help the site keep going. it's not about the admins but it's all about the people that keep the site busy and alive. Facebook is truly very active social networking site and perhaps the most number of members reaching around 400million. I believe that even in the future facebook will still rule the world of social networking site.
