You fell asleep?! How could you fall asleep! It was the world cup final! :D
And I, personally thought it was a great world cup, great moments, some great goals and some amazing matches, I thought the final was alittle bit boring, but what do you expect from two teams that have never won the world cup before and both really wanting it, do you expect them to go all out attack? So I personally think, all in all, it was a great world cup :)
And I think Germany will win the next world cup, there team is so young, it will be perfect for 2014, after having 7 games this world cup where they grabbed experiance for the next one, i think they'll be unstopable, hell! It took this years champions to stop them this year!

because we're in the opposite side of the globe, the time of the game here was 2am.:)
guess that's a good bet for 2014, they'd be more trained in 4 years time...but so will the other teams, it's still a long way to go...:)

You were lucky not to see that match. It was a poor poor match with the Dutch not interested in playing football at all. They were more interested in fouling the Spanish players and deserved more than just one red card that they got. Spain was the better side and deserved to win. They did win thanks to a late late goal from Iniesta.
Cheers!

Wow...too bad for the Dutch and muy bien indeed for the Spanish players. Guess it's not really something to be upset about then, anyway my team won. Cheers too!:)

All the matches were awesome! Especially the semi finals and then the final. I think the credit goes to the management of FIFA and South African Government for making it possible to have such a great and successful held in a country that is growing rapidly and a lot is to be done. Everything was superbly controlled and was showing a great appearance of good management.

Yes, definitely they really did so great about the management and they've really promoted South Africa so well. I even like the theme song sang by Shakira. It would have been quite an experience had I been there. Thanks for your response!:)

Honestly, I didn't like this world cup at all, (with small exclusions like England - Germany, Germany - Argentina).
Spain were strong, but they wasn't playing beautiful football. Maybe my expectations have been too high, but I hope, If everything is fine after 4 year, to see something more interesting, more drama and more goals.

I'm not a huge fan of soccer, but when the World Cup rolls around I can't help but get into it. I watched probably 6 or 7 matches this year and most of them were very exciting. Spain deserved to win and they are a great team. Next time around Brazil has to be the favorite. They are the best team in the world and playing on their home turf!
However, I can't help but think that this sport is never going to be successful in the United States. There is still far too much diving and the pace of the game is too slow.
For guys like me that only watch soccer rarely, seeing someone go down like they were shot when they were barely even touched makes me laugh and not consider it a serious sport.
