do you believe there is a hell so why God punish us here on earth?

Herro Crazy_Poster What an interesting question. I'm not sure God punishes us here on erth. When man breaks man's laws, he is punished by the judicial system. He will also stand before the judgement seat of God for eternal punishment. The devil reigns over hell and will get his residents at the second coming of Jesus. I do not believe that God would reward the devil since they are enemies. I'm interested in how you define punishment on earth. If I missed anything, please ask your questions. I will respond. hahaha well everyone believes in god and that heaven and hell thing are imaginative . For all of your answers i would rather say just be cool and calm down enjoy life Because you are not here forever . :) And for your information god never created this world for any type of punishment god created this world and peoples to love each other . It was us who made everything money,buildings,technology,bombs,riots and everything we are responsible for all that and we are getting punished by our own bad deeds . Remember my words . YOU ARE NOT HERE FOREVER .

Crazy_Poster, I believe that there are certain religions here that do not have heaven or hell in their beliefs, so as such, I wonder how would you tell about God punishing them on earth. What is your answer? I am sure a good percentage of members here would like to hear from you first, since this is a discussion and not some survey or feedback session. If it is the latter, I think myLot may be the wrong place to conduct such.

Earth is considered hell but it depends on how you will live your life here. God never wanted us to be here but because of Adam and Eve's disobedience, the Earth was created. The devil's reward is you since he had a hard time tempting you and making you bad while you were still living. Hell is exactly the punishment where you will never experience happiness compared to what heaven can offer. The devil won't punish you for being bad but he will rejoice for having a new member of his clan.

I am a Christian, and to be honest with you , i don't know which it will be. It know it will be a separation from God. That's my main objective to avoid. They way scripture i written it could mean either. Some says grave, some refers to the lake of fire. Is there a difference to those of us who go there? I don't know. But i can honestly say, i want no part of it. ^^

Let me ask a question with a question. If you were a thief or a murderer, how would people feel if the judge said "YOU are innocent, go and keep doing what you are doing/" They would be afraid of leaving their homes, and keep their weapons handy just in case they ran into you. Now I believe that God allows law makers, judges, and police to administer criminal laws. And that is about the above paragraph. Now as for being punished on earth for your evil deeds, going to jail for stealing, being given life for killing someone, getting a disease for having intimate relationships with someone who has that disease when you should have been faithful to your spouse or lover. Here is what God is doing. He is trying to get you to change your life around. So HE disciplines people to get them to not do what they did that got them in that situation to begin with. Now the devil does not want to punish you. He wants you to get away with cheating, stealing, lying, etc. He hates God and since Satan is in hell (think he cannot do anything? If you watch those Tv dramas where the big boss who is in prison, controls the mob on outside, you get the idea., the devil wants you to join him. So whereas God punishes you so that you will straighten out your life, the devil does not so that you will join him in eternal fire. Of course then the devil goes after the faithful, giving them sicknesses, broken relationships so they will think 'life would be easy if I did cheat, etc. " and join him.

That is some dangerous thinking there. If you want to avoid hell you better stop asking questions, keep your head down, and beleive what the bible says unquestionably regardless of inconsistencies.

Hi, like sandyme said, not necessarily every one believed in God. I do not believe in such crazy thing as hell and heaven. The concept of hell and heaven and even is of God is man's wild imagination. None has seen Mr. God, like two characters waiting for Godot (God)in the play "Waiting for Godot" by Samuel Beckett. They had heard that Godot would come their way. But they pass day after day, night after night but there is no sign of Godot. This proves, we are living rather in an illusive world where most things pass off silently without any one raising the brow. Dante in his Divine Comedy has described Hell as he happened to enter hell all alive and came to know certain things there, which were not permitted to living souls. But this too is his imagination. For me the entire concept of hell and heaven has transcended on us from our ancestors. And we the most educated and intelligent creatures are still stuck in the same groove our forefathers were used to. If there is any thing like heaven and hell,this is the earth itself. When we are happy and ecstatic we are in heaven and when we suffer pain due to any cause, it is hell. Nothing else. Do not you agree to this?

Hmm well I guess thats how god tests our faith you know one must never you know stop believing, but if one does then that is their own decision.

God is not punishing us here on earth. We are punishing ourselves cause we know that some things that we're doing are not good but we still keep on doing it. God sent us here on earth cause he is preparing us for something big. Our life on earth is a probationary state. If we dont follow him then there are consequences for that. If you obey then we will be blessed.

Heaven and hell are all in your heart! God is in your heart too! If you think God is appreciating you, then you are in heaven; if you have the opposite mind, you think God is punishing you, you are in hell all the time. God only affect our spirit world virtually, what's in your heart decides what are you feeling!

Like a good father would correct his child for bad behavior, our Father in Heaven gives correction to us for our behavior that is not in accordance with his will. As the rebellious nature continues, so will correction. Keep in mind God blesses whom He chooses and curses whom he chooses. God's ways are not man's ways. A bit of information on Satan. He was an angel that got kicked out of Heaven because he wanted to be in charge. Satan also cannot do anything to anyone without permission from God. Read in the Bible, the Book of Job, Chapter 1, Verses 6 to 12.

i do not think there is some thing hell.... but in my view god doesn't punishes .. but create problems such that if we success to cross those problem then we will certainly be happy!!!! .....

i dont know how it is about bible..but as per hinduism it is no devil in hell. they too are gods. anyhow. your question is like when there is a jail for criminals, why traffic cops fine you on road??

Hi Crazy Poster: First. I don't think that we are being pùnished by God. We are punish here on earth for our wrong decitions. As a product of our decitions we have created our own justice that might be wrong but it's a type of justice. If you are being punished, don't blame God there's an internal reason why things are happend this way. And maybe if you find the reason you'll learn what to do to change these things my friend.
