"Love what you do and you'll never work another day in your life."
Whether you admit this or not, all human beings are lazy by nature. Given the chance, we prefer to lounge around, eat, drink and be merry. It is only that we need money that we have to work and work gets to be boring after a certain time due to repetition. We may view actors/actresses as having the best job in the world and not to mention having a great pay but they do get bored. Successful people set their mind to enjoy whatever they are doing regardless of the type of work. Ever notice that when you do something you enjoy a lot, you don't seem to get tired doing it even until wee hours of dawn? Set your mind to have this feeling when doing your work. Our brain is a very powerful tool and if you use this in a positive way, you can do wonders! No harm in trying. Give it a try and you'll be amazed! Good luck!

Very true atv. Human beings are born to be lazy. We work to meet our needs. You have said the right thing. Those who are termed 'successful' achieve the success by aiming for something and work tirelessly towards that, whether they enjoy or not. Though lazy humans may get tired of laziness. When the brain gets restless some work is obviously is the outlet. That is the motivation. Some will not fall into this category though and they continue to live lazily - and they have to be ignored.

There's no place for lazy people here. hard cash is a great accomplishment we can boast. We spend time, energy and risking ourselves for having large bills. We even care for the cents for na extra income. HOOrah! for everyone who do their job at their best!

As a mother I usually think of my children to motivate me to work harder. I just think they are the reason of my hardwork. But if you are single I guess, If you really don't want to quit then aside from thinking positively with your work, try to change your routine at work and add some new things to your daily activities. SOmetimes we became really stressed if we were doing the same thing over and over. Try to change some stuffs with your work.. These simple changes might do the trick. Good Luck! meeksilent!

yeah I very much agree with you as mum always says that to us that we are the one who keep on motivating her to work harder to provide us with stable life and we on the other hand have to our parts to support each other no matter how hard it could be as nothing in life comes easy
have a great day dear...

I'm still single but I could relate to that. Our parents strive to earn money for us and that's one of their obligations as it is also our right. They took a risk and for those who didnt do their jobs as mom and dads who painstakingly do work then that's a big failure. :(

The company has been very good to me, salary, facilities, and so on. So, I should be good to the company too. The way to do that would be to work hard and get the business the company needs to survive. So, that's how I motivate myself and keep working hard. Things seem to be going quite well so far, and we are all looking forward to a profitable year.

Hi Meek,
I think all feel this once in a while. I suggest that you take some time off once in a while and spend some time for yourself alone. Sometimes, you need to allot days when you do stuff that are not related to work. You need to do stuff so you should miss coming to work too. LOL.
Cheers,
Honey

One way I do to distress is to call for my therapist. I ask for a full body massage once a month. Another, when I go to places to carry out my work, like out of town, I enjoy the scenic view and the people I see. This way, I get to remember the place not because of the problem on that specific branch but also, I get to remember the good people.
I try to find time to read and write. Writing is one way and another, I listen to music while working. I also tackle each issue immediately and at the end of the day, I run to our church activities or I get to see my friends. My problem with my friends is that they live far from my work place. It is so tiring traveling so often. Thus, I resort to calling them.

I wish I have that spare time to do that. My main problem is I'm too slow on my work progress, but I'll get used to this soon. I hope so. :(

Love what you do and you'll never work another day in your life.
That is the only motivation I have to keep me focus. Work, no matter with what company, there will always something that we are not going to like whether it is work load, supervisors, environment, etc. If we focus on these, you'll definitely be drained. But if you start loving work, regardless of the situation, then you'll see that things can and will be easier done.
If you cannot change your situation, change your attitude.
As they say, it is all in the mind. But if your work is really intolerable then I guess that it's time for you to find another job which you can love.
Good luck!

I stop to think about the things I need money for and that gives me a little push, but I can understand how you feel. Any job gets really tiresome after awhile, even work that you enjoy doing. "So done" sounds exactly like I have felt off and on for the last year. It's hard to hang in there, but it's better than being without a job.

yeah same here..I'm a student..so, I would try to set out goals of the day or I keep on switching the places..like for instance, if I get bored studying in my room; i would go to the living area or sometimes at the backyard of the house or even at the library or sometimes at MAC while eating burger or having coffee! I would try to do anything no matter how difficult or how crazy it may sound

I'm sure you are not the only one feeling that way about work. It's tough sometimes but motivation comes from oneself. Just ask yourself why do you need to work? Do you need to work? If you answered no to the last then you can take a break. :) Also, you might want to assess the situation at work, your colleagues, your boss and your compensation.
