I mean come on who doesn't love yard sales they are a lot of fun. You can always find stuff there that you can't find anywhere else. Plus it's cheap and best of all you can bargain and try to lower the price. That's what makes them so great. I go to a yard sale about each time one week I know I'm addicted to them, but I don't spend my money like crazy.

I love yard sales too. Once I found a lot of children's clothing when a woman was moving and getting rid of what looked like a whole closet full. They were top quality clothing and some still had the tags. I sold them on eBay and made quite a bit. That was when children's clothing was selling for a good amount on eBay. They don't as much now. Over the years I have found quite a few "treasures" at yard or garage sales. I found a short glass vase that I have used as a teaspoon holder for years now. I found a Lenox swan ornament for $2. A woman was selling a sugar and creamer set that had been a wedding gift from someone that I still have. I could go on and on.

Wow it's looks like you have found quite a lot of treasures at yard sales. Your really lucky well I guess it depends when your looking that you know the value of things. I need to learn the value of things so that I can make some money off that.

Oh I'm really sorry about your knees and it really stinks that you can't go to so many yard sales. Still I wish you the best of luck and good luck finding good deals at yard sales.

Herro ANIME123 Yard sales are treasure troves. I find clothes at 1/0 price of less. I find things I can give as gifts. Sometimes I find things I can turn around and pawn. Don't laugh, it works for a little extra income as long as you count the gas and your time. People who run yard sales are getting less flexible on bargaining. Sign of the times, I guess. I visited my sister-in-law and niece in New Mexico. They look in newspaper, plot on a map and watch for unannounced sales on Fri and Sat. I found a basketball jersey, Labron James, Cleveland for $1. Now can I turn that around??? You bet. Prosperous mylotting

Herro ANIME123 No, I'm not getting rich, just a little extra income. Every little bit helps in todays economy. Even people with high mid-range income are living on less. Prosperous mylotting

I used to find a lot of good deals on things at yard sales. I once paid $25 for a deep freezer at a yard sale. I used the freezer for probably five years, then it developed a problem with the lid. I couldn't really trust it to seal properly, especially since I didn't open it every day to make sure that the stuff in it was staying frozen, so I decided that I needed to replace the freezer. After acquiring another freezer, I put the old one aside until I could figure out what to do with it. My wife is a manager at a small, locally-owned restaurant in town, and the owner of the restaurant was looking for a small freezer to put in the shed behind the restaurant for some extra food storage. She told him about the one we had, and about the problem with the lid. She told him that we would sell it to him for $25, and he bought it. He put it in the shed as planned. That was four years ago, and he is still using the freezer today. So I bought it for $25, used it for almost five years, and sold it for $25 to another person who has been using it for four years...not a bad deal I guess...

yeah but what is really cool is that he is STILL using it today himself, so he has gotten his money's worth out of it as well...

No not a bad deal at all you bought it for 25 bucks and sold it for the same exact prize five years later. Not bad at all that's pretty good that's why I love yard sales you can never go wrong at them.

Ugh. I personally hate yardsales. Everything is dirty, used or messed up. It's disgusting. People have to stop being so cheap and go out to buy the new versions of things.

I love yard sales because its convenient for me specially when my kids are going to have a program in school and one time use. They gonna throw it right away anyway for custom remedies and its cheaper and besides not all of them are being use. In the Philippines UKAY-UKAY (usually called wagwagan)(English 2nd hand clothes or used clothing)it is very famous but actually it not used clothes it a reject fabrics from the plant of dressmakers that's why they still have tags on it not everything are used. I do too sale the things I'm not using in the house to minimize space and if I know that kids and are not using it often the things they don't like from toys to appliance to dresses and everything or anything in the house if I want to earn something to replace some appliance or upgrade it to earn funds I do yard sale.

i don't really like yardsales and yardsales are not very common here in the country. mostly we have sale in malls, shopping malls but rarely on yardsale. Filipinos usually hold on to their things until they are not worth of reselling. hehe

Yard sales are great. I go to yard sales every weekend. I find the sales are not as good as they were in the past but that is understandable because of the economy. I resell some of the stuff I find or put them in my house.

I love yard and garage sales unfortunately I have not had the time or extra money to go out and browse at the yard and garage sales this year. I like to look for really unique things. Things I can recycle or re-use around my house. I don't go much for clothing or shoes or that type of thing. I am hoping I will be able to at least go to a couple sometime before the sales end while the weather is still warm.

Oh I go to yard sales like you, you never know what you may find. Things you need for the house that you can't afford all of sudden is there in a yard sale now affordable. Excitement hits, you go home and just feel so good that you were able to get such a deal. I myself also has yard sales, I did it for many years. Not only did it help pay bills here, you also meet people from your area. You get to see someone else feel that same satisfaction of finding something they were not able to afford before they found it in your sale. Yes I totally agree Yard Sales are fun, either going to them or having them.

I like yard sales.you can find a lot of great items from yard sales.some of these items aren't even used and the owners would just like "get rid" of them.I love having items that cannot be found anywhere else.

I love yard sales! It makes me laugh when people buy things like mirrors and furniture for $500 bucks when they could easily get it at a garage or yard sale for $100 or less. I found a microwave for $5 one time! It worked, too!
