What is the true definition of Love?

Can someone define love? hehehe? I'm not a teenager anymore but am I right to define it this way? Love is forgiving. Understanding the one you love and accepting him for what he really is and not trying to change him for whatever you want him to be. Love is doing imaginable things that you would do anything to make your love happy even if it means loosing him by setting him free... how sad isn't it?

There are other things about love that you haven't listed though. There's respect and security and trust. I don't think that you need to be doing anything to make Him happy. What about yourself, are making yourself happy? No offense but I think that you should be making yourself happy and not him.

That's it... I'm thinking is it true love that you become selfless and not thinking of yourself but the other person? Should it be given 50-50 or half-half? half for him and half for yourself? It's a radical feeling... but as long as you can handle it. Some people are happy just to see that the one they love is happy even with someone else.

love is care much for someone even when they just hurt and ignore us. love is share things with him that we dont share with noone else. love is happiness when are with that person. love is sadness and being angry when that person acts careless. love is fight for someone even when that person doesnt care. love is die for him. love is care for him everyday. love is write a love poem to him. love is sing to him. love is write a love story to him. love is having a hard life without him. love is give up when that person doesnt care anymore. love is having a happy life^^

Are you married? You know here in the Philippines, mostly women are responsible for marriage to work out. If a marriage fails, the blame was put in to the woman because the oldies say that even if the man u marry becomes unfaithful to you, you should still cling to him because he is your husband, that you must try the best u can to understand and accept the fact that men are born polygamous.

I guess you love by trying to understand that person , or try your best to provide emotional and physical support to that person. Worry about her future and health.Made sure that person is in good condition.Help that person in any way possible.Be with her and be kind companion and such. Personally sacrifice for her in time,financial and supports.

Yes! You are right. For me I have the same idea of definition of love. Much more on giving care and understanding even we are being hurt. I also give all the best as I can to make him happy and I am much happy if I saw him really enjoy. How happy to be inlove and to have love in life. We are always inspired n everyday life and full of strength. Happy of love.

To love someone means to sacrifice for him. To sacrifice your wishes, your will, your life, but to make happy the person next to you instead doing what you want so much. This is stepping back, forgiveness, and preparing to meet and destroy everything on your way which trouble you both, in the name of the love.
This is my definition of love. However, I see in the most cases the "love" is binding upon which the people try to escape. The love must be a freedom, must be a free choice, not a must, which has to be "completed".

There's no exact definition of love. You take it the way it is...:) As for me, I define love as something I cannot explain no matter how I try...:) As for my description of true love, it makes a person selfless and open-minded. True love is worthy of sacrifices and hardship. But true love isn't limited to having a romantic relationship with the someone who holds your heart. If you love him or her, you will be there to help him or her to be a better person even if it means to give him or her away to another person's embrace... Man, I can't believe I have wrote these things!:) haha
