Well...I wouldn't put my kids in boarding. But when parents don't have the time or the energy to look after the kids, I feel they might be better off in a boarding (a good one) that takes care of all aspects of a child's life. It's much better than leaving the kid with the maid most of the time and the child having to greet tired parents after work who do not have time or energy to spend with the child. It's a personal choice and one that every parent has to loo into along with the pros and cons. Many well to-do families send their kids to boarding schools to give them better training in discipline and make them better people. Yes, they might lose out on parent-child bonding...but if the parents think that's what they have to sacrifice for a better future for their child, that's better..don't you think?

I feel children who are in boarding schools learn to be independent early on in life cuase they have to manage on thier own. They learn how to manage money, stay calm, and live together with other people. For single children this a boon as at home they might have grown up to be selfish children with no want or idea how to share. Boarding school as both its good points and its bad points.
