Although there's a recession on - and people are losing their jobs - some new opportunities are opening up and creating jobs and creating wealth.
So, this year, are you making more money? Or less?
I earn a lot of money online, but in the past year I've had to work harder at finding new ways to keep my income at a level where they're able to pay for my mortgage/bills. It's been a challenging year so far, but I feel confident that once things improve around the world, then the efforts I have been putting in during the low years will really pay off in the long run.
Are you making more money? Lots of industries are booming, such as pawnbrokers, auction houses and even ebay. Education is another growth area - people are needing to learn new skills to find work, or are staying in education rather than getting their first job.
Are you making less money? Maybe you lost your job, or your employer reduced your hours.
How has the last year been for you?

I am trying to make money on here so I can suppliment my income. I am not working because of the recession. I have a college degree and cannot find a job. I am getting back into doing crafts so I can sell them online.

That's good, craftmaking is another growth industry these days. I wish you well with that. I presume you'll be selling on etsy as that's a major website. There are also many other sites emerging. If it were me, I'd be joining them all and seeing which one found me the most buyers, they'll all have a different market reach and you won't know until you've tried each of them which is most successful for you!
I do envy you your skill!
Good luck!

Yes, it's lucky for those that give it a go. We're really lucky that the Internet's developed the way it has over the past 10 years in particular, bringing opportunity to anybody with a PC and the time/determination to work it out, fiddle about - and TRY things.
There's no discrimination online, you get paid on your results.

Last year was a very bad year financially for me. I have a home-based business working with municipalities, and their higher ups began monitoring where they were ordering from. Many could not buy out of the state and still others were given a rediculously low budget where so many items had to be cut. They are still having tough times. I know things will get better. I'm working on it and I have faith!

My husband and I are making less money than last year. His hours get cut back drastically and his boss has been crossing out some of the hours my husband has already worked so basically my husband has been working for free. What my husband's boss does not know is that my husband makes a photocopy of his time sheet each week and if he gets cheated out of pay we go to the labor board to fight it.
I am looking into easy crafts I can make and sell online. I have two different ideas and am thinking about doing both to sell online. I have some other items I want to sell online, but I am looking for auction sites to put things on.
I am also going back to college this September to get my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. My husband is back in college working towards his Bachelors in Communications.
