I have been thinking of upgrading my RAM for my ACER 4930 laptop for quite a while now. I am still thinking about what brand of RAM to buy. You guys have any idea?

I'll prefer a Corsair RAM or a Mushkin RAM.
These RAM are one of the best RAM in the world because Corsair and Mushkin will give you 10 years of warranty on RAM.
So, there is actually no worry in purchasing this RAM.
Also,if you go for upgrade in furute, then the old RAM can be sold for a good amount as they would be still covered by warranty.
The built of Corsair and Mushkin RAMs are also good. So, its the best option i think so.
And these RAMs are just few bucks costly than any other brand's RAM but that extra price is justified..

I am not quite familiar with these brands but since you've mentioned it, I'll be sure to look at it when I try to have an upgrade. I didn't know they offered warranties for 10 years. Most warranties I come by for RAMs are just 2 years max. Thanks for this information.

yes its true, most of the RAM manufacturers provide 2-3 years of warranty but Corsair and Mushkin are the only brand which provide you 10 years of warranty.
Well, i think in your country, it would be hard to find a Mushkin RAM because its not spreaded globally. In India too, no one has ever heard of Mushkin until one dealer got the dealership direct from Mushkin and now, he is the only dealer in India who deals with Mushkin products and the quality of products speaks by itself.
But for the Corsair, its products would be easily available in your country.
So, go for Corsair when it comes for RAM, power supply(SMPS) and pendrives too.
