How can I make banners?

Hi...Its banners everywhere.I would like to know how are these banners made.Is it possible to use any picture file as a banner,if so how.Please suggest.

Making banners can be done by using photoshop or other image editors. Just make sure that the frame size of the canvas is the size of the banner you want, eg:125*125 pixels for an average square button. Save it in jpeg format or use gif format if it has animations. Upload it to photobucket or picassa and copy the web address of your image. Now it can be used anywhere you want. Regards, Ajith.

You can use Adobe Photoshop to create banners. Most of the designers use this software to create banners. You can find lots of Photoshop tutorials on the web.
