I heard there are electricity in our bodies. Why don't we short circuit when we get wet?

Not an expert here but I do think that the electrical impulses in our body are so minute. And I guess the skin is like some insulator just as wires have rubber insulators.

yeah,we have electricity in our body.i can even feel ground when i am i the mall and suddenly being near skin to skin with some people there. i don't think we could die when we get wet, cause that way we can't even wash ourselves.makes us all feel stinky and smelly!

i think our bodies are just a good conductor of electricity.
like metal or water. but not really produce electricity.
or, if we do produce electricity, its not that strong..i mean, with low voltage. hehe
because if water can kill, then we'd probably smell pretty stinky.. :P hehe
