Recently I discovered this site which allows people to message my Blackberry. It is useful when people want to get in contact with you and so I thought I'd share it. http://www.blackberryer.hostzi.com/

I never use Blackberry Messenger, even though I have a Blackberry. Probably because I know all of 3 people besides myself who have Blackberrys, so there's really no point - when we all have unlimited texting or AIM (Aol instant messenger) that we can use. One site that is good with this is also Meebo.com. I'm pretty sure if you dont' want to download AIM (Or any other instant messengers), you can just go to this site. You don't even have to sign up. So it's nice.

Blackberrys seem to be the new craze where I am and people either have one or want one. Not sure why. But it's the only reason I got one really. And so they all want to use BBM and seem to completely forget that you can use email or other IM's for free. And yes, Meebo is quite cool.

Actually blackberry messenger is free too because it's included in your data plan which you need to pay monthly. If you don't have a data plan then blackberry is just useless because you won't be able to use all the applications that makes the phone the coolest ever. Yes I know that there are other IMs that are free but you need a computer to use them, but what if you're mobile? And if you're just at home, wouldn't it be nice just to use your phone and not open your computer which saves you electricity? A notebook can save you electricity but for a limited of hours. So in my case, blackberry is really useful especially the messenger which allows me to communicate with people who cares about intelligent talking.

I have blackberry & I find myself using it more for work rather than for personal use. I only have 5 contacts on BBM. 3 of them are co-workers. I use it all the time with them, but more for sending files back & forth.
