Well iPad is not good for Photoshop. It would be better if you get a desktop or laptop to do your graphics or and other things you might be doing. iPad is for accessing the internet, an eReader, you have certain apps you can use. iPad is like a large iPhone with out the capability of using a phone. I hope this helps you.
I was going to purchase an iPad but when I went to the Apple store online and read up on it. It's not what I thought.
So I purchase a MacBook and I am very happy I can as much as on a desktop computer.
If you have a Mac already you can transfer your applications from other computer to your laptop.
I hope this has helped you.

It just a matter of applications it can be as a graphic tablet on a different kinds of perspective as for an artist. There are some applications for iPad that can be sensitive to pressures as a basic graphic tablet properties can do. There are applications for making graphic arts for iPad or for iPhone or for iPod Touch.
There are also that you can make the iPad as a secondary screen display wirelessly (I think this for Apple Macs only like the Macbooks or iMacs computers).
