Anyone know how to plant a seed?

A good rule of thumb is to plant every seed, bulb or corm at two and a half times its own depth. In other words, very small seeds need to be barely covered and large seeds (like beans and peas) need an inch or two's soil over them.
There are exceptions (such as onions and cyclamens) but this is the general rule. Otherwise, for the dates to plant and harvest, read the instructions on the packet.
