The middle east as everyone knows is a complicated issue . People see on TV children that are dying in the conflict with hezbollah but what you dont see is that the terrorist organization forces the lebaneese people to stay at home at gun point so they can use them as human shields to attack Israel they are willing and are sacrificing there own people in fact killing them. They are a terrorist group not an army an army does not use such tacticts they do not hide behind helpless women and children. Please share your thoughts with me on this issue i will reply to everyone . All comments will be responded to . Thank you and lets talk about this you never know what can come out of it .

You're absolutely right, HEZB ALLAH IS NOT TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.
Let's not forget the past it's history repeating itself
Back from 1940 on the Israeli IRGUN and LEHI organizations.
they were not making candies and you don't have to take my
word for it and do your own research and when U there
check search : The Lavon affair.
PEACE & JUSTICE FOR ALL

Good post and I can't say it any better and in the same
time you have just gave the answer to president Bush's very
famous question { WHY THEY HATE US ?}
during the war between Israel and Hezb-Allah the whole world wanted to stop the war except president Bush
our government were accususing Syria & Iran of supplying
Hezb Allah with weapons and he wants them to stop,on the other hands our cargo planes were filles with all kind of
weapons heading for Israel through Scotland with a lot of
people protesting against the shipment of weapons through
their country.this behavior of double stander policy is unacceptable from the only super power in the world
if the president really means what he say to win the heart
and mind of the Arabs and the Muslim world why does he
support, supply and allow Israel to keep destroying Arab
lands and continue the occupation of the Palestinians
lands? and I'm not optimistic at all,God bless America.

It's interesting to see how Americans are very caught up in movie land where Israel is automatically the good guys and anything vaguely Arab is evil, terrorist etc etc. Unfortunately the real world does not work like that, both sides have faults and both sides have their points.
Israel does have a right to defend itself. If Lebanon's army invades its borders, it has the right to use force to defend itself. If Lebanon's government was hostile to Israel and openly encourgaing terrorist, then we could argue that Israel had the right to use force.
But it did not. Lebanon was trying to get onto its feet and instead of helping it, Israel has ensured that Lebanon and the Lebanese have a darn good reason to hate Israel and anyone who allies with her.
As to the idea that Hizbollah forced people into the firing range cause it wanted Israel to look bad.....well, Israel, with its ultra high-tech radars and super spy system etc etc knew what was going on and was quite willing to look bad by bombing the crap out of Lebanon. - There are ways to deal with small time cladistine opperations -
The Brits used the SAS in covert missions to get IRA terrorist and the Malaysian Communist in the 50s - cost the lives of a few soldiers but they won because they avoided bombing the crap out of the civilian population. The Israeli's could have used subtle comando raids against Hizbollah - might have risked a few soldiers, might have caused a diplomatic incident, but lives would have been spared. The Israeli government could also have conducted secret negotiations with the Lebanese government to help them rain in Hizbollah - but instead they chose to ensure that the Lebanese government lost credibility in the eyes of the Lebanese people by being portrayed us unable to stand up to Israel.
AS for the aftermath, did Israel or even the USA offer help to the people who suffered? Hizbollah on the other hand went around helping people to rebuild their lives. - Come on, how could two supposedly demoractic countries get outfoxed in the game of winning the people's hearts?
We jump and scream about how Israel is being violated when three soliders in uniform are kidnaped by people the nation is technically still at war with. But does anyone care if 10,000 Arab civilians rot in Israeli jails without due process? - If the Europeans make a peep about this being unfair, the USA and Israel will start accusing them of being "Anti-Semitic" (Arabs are incidentally Semites too) and failing to remember Auschwitz. - Well Jews with the main victims of the Holocaust in WWII but that does not give the State of Israel the right to be the perpetrators of a Holocaust in the Middle East.
As for Iran, the people voted for a President who was making noises about making a reapproachment with the WEst. Did he get any support like lifting of trade sanctions, aid etc - Na-the nation still ended up as part of the Axis of Evil and lo and behold the people of Iran realised it was pretty pointless voting for people who wanted peace with the West.
Come on, you got to understand that peace and security is gained by creating an environment for opportunity for as many people as possible not from robbing, starving and killing people and expecting them to take it lying down. - Of all nations, this is something Americans should understand - after all this was the nation that believed in "No Taxation without Representation."

Hezbellah are terrorists ... I agree ... but sadly they are heros to some. The reason people like them now in lebanan is because they do not back down to Israel and they help the people when Israel attacked Lebanon. If their group ever came to full power in Labanon there would be a Taliban like government indeed. Where women are treated like crap ... and terrorists can plot against freedom. So the issue is complicated and getting worse with every day.

As far as I was aware it was the complete opposite Hezbollah generally keep away from Lebanese as they can’t trust them.
Though can you blame the Lebanese for having praise for an organisation that stood toe-to-toe with an apparent civilised country who openly declared they wanted to destroy Lebanon, unlike the over-reported issue of the Iranian president stating Israel shouldn’t exist and being read of "should be destroyed"

Beyond the historical context, wasn't that essentially what I said?

Hi! I completely agree. And I agree with another poster that I do not consider Hezbullah and the Lebonese people to be the same thing. Best to you!
