Well friends, Have you ever clicked on the tab "unresolved" that is there on the extreme right of the mylot page (home page rather)? This evening I just happened to click the tab and was amazed to see how many of me started discussions are lying unresolved! I mean, without myself crediting any one of them as 'Best Response'. I daresay, some discussions were/are there where no such appealing responses are there. On such event one may refrain from selecting none. But some are really solid and a BR could surely be picked up. This is time consuming though going down the pages and reading them afresh. But I have started the job and have already given a couple of BRs started last year itself. What about you?

Thank You for pointing out the unresolved. I am fairly new here and still learning and even though I am trying to mark best responses and respond back to everyone when I start a discussion I found 2 unresolved that I had missed.

Hi there Krajibg, Yes and I have to admit that I tend to be so very lame when it comes to that. Every now and again I'll just take the time to go back and take care of them. Each time, it is very time consuming and I vow to myself that I won't let them pile up like that again. I don't start too many discussions or at least to me it doesn't seem as if I do. It's always a surprise to see how many have accumulated when I do check them. Hmmm..now you got me thinking....maybe I'll do that this afternoon.

Yep, Krajibg, you inspired me to go play catch up and I did. I ended up doing more than 3....not sure how many. Oh some of them were 4 months old. I do like to take my time before give a best response but I guess four months is a tad bit much ...heh?

Hi sid, Howz life? So you are lame to this? And I was too. But in between I credited BRs to those who I thought really deserved one. But not through the tab that I discovered just yesterday. I admit it is too time consuming as you forget those discussion initiated by you and go and read the response once again and you can not afford to take on the blasphemy of discrimination either. Its hard indeed. But i think this is a must do thing at certain point. Thanks for sharing sid.

I have almost 70 pages of unresolved discussions going back 10 months. I am the laziest myLotter ever. I have started going back and taking care of some of them though.

Not 70 years but now they seem back firing since you have to be around them and check them out without getting moved by personal acquaintance and the known faces.

Hi lazy bee, Get up and get going with those orphan pages and do some justice to them. The poor ones! lol 70 pages! it would take you hundred years to get back to them and finish it up. All the best.

I used to take care of the chore of giving BRs once a month, near the end of the month but I have to confess that I have slacked off badly during the past several months. I'm sure I have pages of unresolved discussion that I need to attend to.

Hi spalladino, The same thing with me too. First thing I had never taken care of that tab, secondly I had no time to go back to the old discussions I had posted. Now,however, i feel I should do some justice to them and have started the action already. At least three or four each day. this way I would be able to clear the page one day for sure. Thanks for dropping.

Yes I too was forget about best responses, but before two weeks ago I had remember It and then I read all discussions again and then I choose best responses. Sometimes It is very hard to choose best response. If I like many of them I make a lottery and then choose one of people. In my place people need luck too not only good words. I had seen many people whose haven't selected best response and I think all people need to mark It. I think It very good thing to reward people for they job. I hope you will done with your discussions fast. Good luck, Take care, Have a nice day!

Hi Et, sure I admit. If some one has accomplished a good job he/she should be awarded likewise. But the sad thing is that in selecting a BR many souls do indulge in discrimination. They tend to assign BRs only to those who are in good book with them. This is a bad trend. what say?

I admit I do have so many unresolved discussion and I know I am being unfair. I will try my best to clean my unresolved discussion one by one in a day. Some of the discussion I made, I haven't seen the best responser so far, eventhough the discussion was 2 years ago. I am still opening some discussion for anyone who much more deserve the best responser title.

Hi grecy, the problem of not getting a reasonable response for awarding a BR was mine too. but now I have turned a bit moderate and therefore try to look for the better one from among the one posted on my discussion. I still have a huge number of them just staring on my face.

I do it for 2 times in a year, these days I am more focusing on responding a discussion than starting new one. I think if someone has posted best response should be awarded , it can boost the confidence of a poster.

That is what I am tired of.. to re read and resolve that old discussion and choose the best response. I ti tiring but sometimes you have to do it so that the responder will be glad and it would also add to your reputation here in mylot. Recognize the people who put effort to respond toy our topic. But I tell you, it is tiresome when you will wait for lots of responses before choosing the best one.

Hi Bebs, really tiresome and time consuming. still I am trying now to award BRs to them who in my opinion deserve it. No discrimination though. Thank you for sharing.

I use the unresolved tab all the time. When I want to clear off the discussions I have going on and give the BR's. I like to keep them all done. I do them about one a week or sometimes wait if I haven't got many. I like to give all my discussions atleast a week. It seems to work very well for me.

Herro krajibg I learned about the unresolved tab out of curiosity. The only discussions that remain there are discussions that are 1 response or 2 responses with no best response. I wish there was some way I could clear that tab, but just not possible. I usually wait at least 2 weeks to select a best response. Even though I may see a good response at 1 week, sometimes a better one is answered later. Prosperous mylotting

Hi Tex, Well as the tab is there, this by default becomes our task to clear them off. I don't know how many you have pending unresolved but I have a lot of pages. Now I have started to clear them step by step. Like go back to those old discussion and see which one should be picked up for a BR and do it. thank you.

I always got to the unresolved link once in a month to ensure that I have cleared up my queue. I usually will assign a best response every other week, but still there are some which simply slip through. For such discussions I usually check using the unresolved tab and then mark the best responses. Cheers! Ram

Hi ram, My queue is too long now. This makes my job tougher. still I am into it and have started picking up seemingly better response to tag as a BR for there are some posts where you have more than 70 responses and it is too time consuming to go through all them. Nice that you go on clearing them every other week and this would make your job much easier. thanks.

oh krajibg you would have to remind me,I am again behind, and I was caught up once. Lo, I just hope I do not have too many pages to do. Yes it is time consuming and someone has been overdoing it giving me BRs as I cannot get back to thank everyone this really bothers me too. I mean I do owe you all thanks too. well one thing at a time I guess. So you are stirred me to action so thanks. lol

Hi hatley, I feel scared about thinking your state. how many of them would be there? And if you are not into the act right away you would leave half of the portion like that and the poor ones who had put the best of their efforts in responding your post would be lamenting for being deprived of a BR Last night I stirred Sid into action and instantly she assigned four or five from her previous old posts.[em]

Rarely and Barely....when I myLot, I go down right away to answering discussions or posting my own. I do give BRs when I find something worth it. Are we obliged to BR someone? Cause if thats the case, I really won't mind. There really are deserving ones but I just didn't find the compelling need to.
@krajibg (11922)

Hi Theresaaiza, I too wonder if it is compelling to assign a BR but since tab is there it says spontaneously that you do. There are discussion in my slot too where I do not find any response worth a BR. But now I have altered my stance and try to find out thr better from the average. Thats my way. Thanks for the response.

When the response isn't adequate we don't feel like giving a best response.I've also not given the best response to my query on a few occasions.The reason is that i hope someone will in course of time give a better reply.Maybe some topics do not touch the hearts of responders hence the reason for a poor reply.
@krajibg (11922)

Hi picjim, I get your point. And in such situation you can easily leave the post without assigning any BR. But there would still be relatively better. and that one which catches your attention gets picked up. I too have similar problem. but now I have softened down a bit and try to make the best of my effort. Thank you.

Wow, so that's what the unresolved tab is about. Sorry, I didn't know that in order to resolve a discussion you started, you should pick a best response. Anyway, I've reread my discussions and I couldn't find the best responses for those discussions. What if you never got a response that made total sense? lol. I think I'll just pick what I think is a good response from the responses. It would be very tedious though. But I bet you have much more unresolved since it started last year. Good luck to us though. Good luck choosing a decent response. =)

Hi jerikjames, all those getting no response get dumped in the tab 'no response '. If you wish to collect a few BRs do go to the non response page and try to respond and surely you will be credited a BR. even I did not know about that tab - 'unresolved. This is however too a point that all responses you get are worth a BR. you could leave some of them in their own condition. thanks.
