What happens when you mark best response?

Do you get credited on it? Does the poster get credited for it? Do we have to choose best response on all our started discussions?

Actually, you get some sort of credits when somenoe selects the best response. According to my experimentation and observation, it amounts to 5 cents, I guess, but mylot in it's guidelines indirectly says that only a worthy response will get credits.

In the guidelines, they say that there is a mathemathical logic behind rating stuff in here.
Ifyou choose a best response in your discussion, you gain nothing. That's simple to understand,right?

No way!
I wasn't her student. In fact I didn't even get admission to her school
because I didn't qualify the entrance test!
I got a chnace to sit in her private classes because she was my aunt and I was willing to beg.

no,we don't get credited for doing that but i think it's a way of showing your appreciation to the one who responded with such a great effort,and who doesn't want to be appreciated,right?
we all need to be appreciated for all the efforts we have done,spoecially when we know for ourselves that we deserve such an award of appreciation.we are like family here,so we do help each other out in every way we can.
when you start discussions,make sure to pick the right one which truly satisfies your topic being discussed.

The truth that still not since is done to select a better response, and the criterion that they use here to evaluate, to select, to allow and to value the discussions and the answers not which is and as it to handle. It stays to criterion of the administrators of MyLot.

I always choose a best responce in all my discussions, because I know it feels warm when you open your mailbox and "GOOD NEWS!" your answer has been marked as the best responce :)
I don't think we get any credit or bonus points for it, but it feels damn good.
