Hi friends, we have a subject in 3-1(Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-hyderabad) name is Linear IC Applications, we simply called as LICA(not officially).
It is totally depends upon the basics of Transistors.
I am already studied in diploma(polytechnic) also.
we have 8units in this subjects, given below:
Unit-I:Integrated Circuits
Unit-II:Characteristics of OPAMPs
Unit-III:Linear Applications of OP-AMPs
Unit-IV:Non Linear Applications of OP-AMPs
Unit-V:Oscillators and waveform generators
Unit-VI:Timers and Phase Locked Loops
Unit-VII:Digital to Anolog & Anolog to Digital Converters
Unit-VIII:Anolog Multipliers and Modulators
Presently we are in First unit, in this we have to study about Differential Amplifiers....

2.OP-AMPS & Linear ICs -by Ramakanth A. Gayakwad, PHI, 1987
References are:
1.Design with Operational Amplifiers & Analog Integrated Circuits -by Sergio Franco, McGrawHill, 1988
2.Operational Amplifiers & Linear Integrated Circuits -by R.F. Coughlin & Fredrick Driscoll, PHI, 6th Editin,
3. Operation Amplifiers -by C.G. Clayton, Butterworth & Company Publ, ltd./Elsevier, 1971

Yes you are right, the local authors can wrote in a lucid manner.
But after understanding the concept we have to go for Standard books.
In our local books, Linear IC Applications by U.A.Bakshi & A.P.Godse is in very simple manner and we can read ourselves.

hi rameshchow this all sounds like you are headed for a very
lucrative career in electronics , am I not right. I know
my own son took some of those courses but he did not pursue
a degree. But at least He is again employed and in the field'he loves, computer programming. I imagine you will find a lot of fellow'students here taking much the same courses. good luck and God bless.
