Is your course/degree related to your current job?

Guys, i'm just curious.. It was very much rampant in the Philippines that some of the people nowadays are working or getting jobs not related to their profession. Lets get me as an example, I am a Registered Nurse but since then i was just doing business. Not because i don't my profession but somehow its hard to get job on that field. Same scenario for those nurses working as call center agents, i have nothing against that its just that maybe its about time to think on what course to take in college considering the trend in the work field and not just by a "fad". Taking also into consideration if there might be possible job vacancies after graduation. After all its not easy financially, emotionally and physically to finish a degree, so might as well plan it well. what do you think?
