Practically useless

What are the things that are cluttered in your room or stored in your house that are practically useless? And yet, you still keep them?
I have several Starbucks tumbler in my room. Most of them have cracks and can no longer be used for drinking (without water dribbling on your chin). Still, I keep these tumblers, being a collector of Starbucks items. I also keep old school notebooks in my room. These things are practically useless, but I still keep them--being the sentimental fool that I am.

Well, my old books, I guess. They are practically not useful to me as of the moment though they were before when I was still a student.. but now, I hardly had the time to look at them or to even scan a page in a while.

We have so much item cluttered in our house that we do not use anymore. My husband likes to buy stuff and he keeps them as long as he wants. Even cartons are cluttered in our house. Most do not have sentimental maybe he is just a hoarder.

At the moment, I don't think I really have anything around that would be considered useless. I just hauled a couple of loads of things away recently. However, any other time, there would probably be an assortment of items around my house that one may consider worthless or useless. I have a habit of accumulating things that other people toss out, but then again, I can usually find a use for a lot of the things that other people throw away.

There is actually a big TV in one of the rooms in our house which does not work anymore. It is one of those picture tube TV's. A few months ago, it just decided not to work, so it's there on it's stand, practically useless.
Unlike you who keep things for sentimental reasons, the reason this TV is still there is because of my procrastination. I should take it and bring it to a recycle depot. Or maybe I'm just reluctant to buy a new one. Considering that there is 3 other TV's in the house.

Great topic, Arystine! It made me think about all the books I keep, although nobody reads them. There is even a special cupboard, which 'tidy up' each year, letting go of just a few ones at a time. I still have ancient Disney picture books with funny doodles I made when I was a child. Funnily enough, I thought my kids would enjoy reading the same stuff as I did... but, alas! So, I guess each of us has a bunch of useless things and now I wonder if there is a recipe for letting these 'personal souvenirs' go ? ;)
