Do you trade stocks and options? Where do you get your stock tips?

I trade stocks an options as a way to make a little side cash. I don't trade big time, but do enjoy trading. Anyone else trade stocks and options?
If so, where do you get your information?
Do you have any hot stock tips?

from tv really, i only do stocks online and your online broker doesnt really advise you.
i have stocks for the long term and not really for short term gains but i have a little for the short term.

yup, i am same with you. i do stocks online and no broker can advise us, we just find information about that stock with online stock comunity.

Hi kbjunior15, yes I do trade in stock future and options, and basically for doing these you should have a good knowledge of trading in futures and options, else you may loose a big amount. It is very risky. You should first know the past movements of the stock in which you want to trade and should be updated with the news about the markted as well as stock. You can join few good communities on Orkut for stock trading, there you will not only get complete information about the current situations but also tips from various experienced members for trading purpose. Also if you are ready to pay there are some good sites which can send you good tips for trading purpose.

Thanks babshish for an informative response. Trading stocks/options is a risky thing for sure, even if you do know what you are doing. We play around with an account that has $1000 in it. When we get over that amount, we take it out and put it into a savings account. We have done pretty well and it has never gone below $900. We have a rule of thumb, that making a little money is better than nothing. Since we trade mostly options, when an option makes us $100 we sell it. We do our trading through Optionsxpress, which has a lot of good trading tools in it. I will check out Orkut. DO you have any stocks or options that you are currently in that you would recommend? We have been in SPH (Suburban Propane) for the past year and a half and it has been a good one. Pays decent dividends each quarter. Thanks
