I noticed that most people in the US have their own car. Even though you are just a waitress, you can have one. I've been watching you tube and one channel Im subscribe to is showing whats inside her purse and she showed her car keys and house keys.. She said she is a waitress and I was kinda amazed because here in our country if you are waitress you cant get your own car. Your salary is just so enough and most of us here prefer to live with parents than apartments because we couldnt afford it..

Well i have my own car as well. Life sucks without a car. Is not convenient to go anywhere without it. But 1 thing, where ever i went , theres always traffic jam!! and nowadays 1 more things to consider is the fuel. So so expensive. But anyway is still the same for me saying that having a car is necessary.^^well depends on you too

Well I think any transport is. A private transport is really a great help.

I'm a waitress in the US and I have my own car. What's more, my husband has his own car, too. Where we are, we really need it, though. We live in the middle of nowhere, in Amish country, and we would never be able to get anywhere if we didn't have our own cars. Around here there is no sort of public transportation whatsoever. I don't even know how far we'd have to go to hit a taxi service, but I think it's about an hour's drive or more just to find somewhere that has a taxi. As it is, I drive 45 minutes to and from work every day just to be able to work (and boy does the gas money add up, too). I think it depends on your situation whether your work is making enough or not. I know other waitresses that I work with where their paycheck goes solely to bills and that's it, but they have certain circumstances that cause that. For example, one of them is a single mother and her paycheck is the only thing they have to live off of, so she can't really afford a car of her own and has to get a ride from a friend.

It depends on the country or city you are living. If that place is very big, then I think you need a car.Especially when taking cab, buses or trains would take too much effort and would cost more. But if that place is like my city, which is very small, then I think a car is not needed. IN my city, we just use a motorcycle instead, since we dont have to travel long distances.

Hi kharlav! In my place I think car is very costly. But commuting is alot costly so we decided to buy/loan a motorcycle to save up for the over pricing fare and also to have our private transportation that we can use for emergency. Our subdivision goes very quiet like in the middle of the night and its to far from the city so when there's any emergency its really hard to get a transport timely because of unavailabilty.. So having a transport is a great decision
