windows or linux?

I already use windows OS for several years so I am must familiar with it. It is user friendly and very easy to use and understand whether you are a basic or advance user. I heard linux is also a good os and its completely free unlike windows that you have to purchase a license to be able to use it or install it. I just wanted to know from the opinion of linux users if linux is better than windows. What are their advantages and disadvantages...

I know very well about windows but i don't anything about Linux. So as of now i will prefer Windows and once i know or start using Linux then i can tell you the difference between these two and also i can tell which one is the best. But still it depends on the person who is going to use the particular operating system. It depends on his/her interest and tallent.

I have used linux in the past, and it is a pretty cool operating system. One of the biggest reasons I love it is because it comes with hundreds of really fun games! also, there are alot of cool effects that you can toggle on or off, like the windows kind of bend when you move them, and you can have it rain on you screen! The only one downside I have found is that when you try to watch videos on the internet, it lags a ton! So I would probably use linux for games, but windows for internet.
