Looking for a job in today's job market is hard, virtually no matter where you are dependent upon whether you're qualified or what types of jobs are offerred in that area. Most people have a generic resume' and a generic cover letter where they plug/play the job information. While there are others who actually take the time to tweak their resume's/cover letters for every job that they apply for. I found that to be time consuming and find of depressing once you apply and don't get the job you spent so much time applying for. It has to be a better way!

A resume is a self-marketing tool. It must be designed to sell your skills, knowledge and experience to an employer so that the concerned person will invite you for an interview. This link will help you. http://www.resumes.in/category/engineer-resume

Yes it's hard. Harder in the USA where you are too. The thing to remember is that it's a numbers game. The more you apply for jobs with a resume` & cover letter that are tailored to each job, the better your chance are. It is really a good exercise in learning how to market yourself effectively, which is difficult for us no matter what profession we are in. It is a very rewarding exercise too, with the winner being awarded many tens of thousands of dollars a year, so do try to put the extra effort in. In time, you will get better at it, it will become easier & you will gain more self-confidence. It helps prepare you for the inevitable interview too. There are still many jobs out there & someone has to fill the vacancies - it might as well be you! My wife just got a full time job interstate after spending twelve moths applying like crazy. I've been applying & even cold-calling relevant companies too for the past six months & still nothing, but remain employed full time in my current position. It's a numbers game; just keep trying.
