i like my pandesal hot! Nothing beats a fresly baked, hot pan de sal. I usually just eat it as is, or sometimes dunk it in Milo. When the pandesal is not hot anymore, I put butter and dunk it in Milo. Yum! Just thinking about this makes me hungry.
Have you tried Pan de Manila's pandesal? they're so yummy! Really hot and soft! yum!

Yeah, hot is the best, even if you don't eat it!
The aroma of hot bread can stop you in your tracks :)
A little cocojam is a good mix if your sugar levels are low.

I like pandesal hot adding with coffee. and the bun is added with cheese or peanut butter. it's been probably the best filipino tradition most specially break fast in the morning. i love it, most likely now we have a bakery who sells pandesal 24/7

Here in Vancouver.B.C. we buy 12 pcs in bag then place in freezer then when we need it for breakfast we just put it in toaster to make more crunchy add butter with no salt, taste really good at breakfast.Awesome but I cannot find pandesal that like ours in Philippines which outside part is really crunchy. I do wish we have it here.

I don't consider it a breakfast until there is pandesal. We buy our pandesal from the roving sellers and I always tell our maid to put the pandesal in the bread warmer so that it will still be warm when I eat it. I like it freshly baked and I eat it with either egg or sausage or with both.

hello zenki!
i like it hot! haha
i like pandesal in the morning putting some cheese inside before dipping it on my coffee! hehe (the coffee must be black but with bit sugar)
but anything will do for me as well, sometimes hat we do with the pandesal that we left in morning is to deep on eggs before frying and it will do as a snack in the afternoon!
actually cheese, butter, white cheese(one of the best for me), sandwich spread, eggs, hotdogs, peanut butter, coco jam...haha they all goes well with hot pandesal!

Yes I love it. It used to be my all time favorite breakfast. I even paired it with rice. Talk about double carbs! LOL
There was a local Chinese-owned sari sari store in our neighborhood who used to sell toasted pan de sal. I really missed that! There were stories that before the dough were placed into the oven the owner of the store would let everybody leave as he added his secret ingredient.
I had to agree that there was something special about that bread.

hello zenki,
I remember every Morning we used to buy some of that in a bakery but afternoon they won't have it anymore. years later, another bakery had set up and they have actually produce pandesal big enough to eat. before it was 1.50, and then it went to 2 pesos. but the difference of this from any other bakeries is that they are 24 hours, and the pandesal is available almost all the time and not just morning. I am happy to have live this neighborhood to have a near pandesal good for 24 hours.

It should be hot, fresh and soft. I can't eat it on it's own. I want it to go with hotdog, bacon, cheese, ham, corned beef, egg spread, chicken spread etc... And I love to stuff it with left over foods like adobo and giniling.

I prefer my pandesal hot and crusty. But if not that is still ok.
I use all kinds of spreads. Cheese, mayo, sandwich spreads (lady's choice),cheez whiz, fried eggs, coconut jam, etc.
It it also mandatory that a hot coffee or a very cold orange juice/iced coffee goes with my pandesals.

I want my pandesal hot. If I don't have spread, I just partner it with hot coffee. But I love with peanut butter....yum!
