Should ICC start home based leagues in Cricket like football?

HI don`t you think ICC should start home based leagues in Cricket like football? IPL has been very much popular in India. If ICC can ask all cricket playing nations to start home based leagues, and omit the current system then cricket will be more popular. What do you think?

i think its not needed in cricket, cricket is already interesting. and ipl is some manner same as you said, making such tournaments more will spoil the game.

i think there is no need for the icc to start that. the ipl is a sort of home away game. and football is a shorter and fast game,so you cannot compare it with cricket and wish something like football here.

I think there have been home based leagues in all the countries that are with ICC. For e.g. Ranji Trophy in India, the Pura Cup in Australia, the League in the UK. So these have already been there. So not sure what you are hinting at by home based leagues here. Also, FIFA does not control any of the home based leagues in the footballing nations!! Cheers! Ram
