PTC viruses. Can trusted PTCs really be trusted?

Most of us know that Trekpay is one of the "trusted" PTC sites out there. Recently, I've been browsing ads on it and when I clicked at one of the ads, my antivirus detected a trojan. This is not the first time it happened to me. My antivirus also detected something fishy when I was clicking on gagabux. But now it has been reported as scam, its excluded with this topic. Am I the only one that are encountering these kinds of stuff? If not, in what ptc site have you encountered this? Please i need feedback. I don't know if I should continue this anymore.
